I wonder why other sites are not publishing this..as I hinted and others have, I am of the opinion tht Jamaicans will be in for a very "warm time" in the UK, at home, and in other countries as well..I will watch out how this one plays out as well..

Jusst heard on ten ten that a woman turned in her son for making threats against Amtrak...they are coming out of the woodwork? Did those in England show signs of would-be bombers/terrorists, but others ignored them and said "naaah, not them?" Strange that no one was wondering what was goin on in that house down the street..hindsight is always 20/20.

Authorities suspect the attackers didn't work alone, and that their collaborators or leader are likely still at large.

Britain's top law enforcement official, Home Secretary Charles Clarke, said authorities were looking closely "at the relationship between the people who may have committed the offenses and the wider network around them."

Several officials, including Foreign Minister Jack Straw, have said the attacks bore the "hallmark" of al-Qaida. Two claims of responsibility purportedly from militant Islamic groups have surfaced.

The four suspects have been described in news reports here as "suicide bombers," but officials have said there is no evidence to support the conclusion that the bombers intended to die.

Police continued on Thursday to detain a 29-year-old man, arrested during raids on Leeds on Tuesday, in custody. In London officers resumed the task of searching through voluminous evidence from closed-circuit TV footage and the grisly scene where the blasts ripped apart three trains and a bus.

An uncle of 22-year-old Shahzad Tanweer — one of the suspects named in news reports — said his nephew had gone to Pakistan for two months earlier this year to study religion, and that the family believed he was attending "some religious function" on the day of the bombings.

"It was total shock, I mean, it's unbelievable," Bashir Ahmed told reporters.

The Times newspaper quoted police sources as saying Tanweer had once been arrested for disorderly behavior, and Hussain was questioned about shoplifting. The newspaper quoted sources as saying the name of one suspect "emerged" during an anti-terrorist investigation, but he was not arrested or questioned.

Yossef Bodansky, director of research at the International Strategic Studies Association, said the explosives likely came from Bosnia.

"Until you get the receipt, you will not (know) for sure, but all indications are right now that this is the source of the explosives and the fuses," he said.

He also surmised that the bombers may be part of a larger network.

"There's no question that these four were at the end of some kind of a totem pole," that included logistical systems, training, intelligence and other support, he said.

I am zeroing on the part about Al'Queda connection. hhmmm. **sigh** The news here at least this stn I'm lissn'ng tuh..keeps sagying that police are still searching for the "mastermind." As we surmise by now, they are looking for Germaine, must we conclude that he is/was the mastermind? Again, if he is, all saawts of "intelligence" will be swarming Jamaica like FLIES!! Uh uhh!!

I wish we could pray this one away in truth; however GMA is a rival stn of channel 4...fact is two other sources made the claim that this guy is a Jamaican.di damage has already been done.

I have heard absolutely nothing about that here. I suppose they want to be certain as there are quite a few Jamaicans that would be better than upset if the findings were(hopefully) wrong. Also, since many black people say they are Jamaicans when in trouble, a background check would be essential.

Why the horror of a Jamaican being a terrorist ???? What would you call the Dons that hold sway over large areas of the corporate area ? Saints ?

If this gentleman turns out to be of Jamaican decent then we should take ownership rahter than the attitude of so many of the talking heads on television.. The fact of the matter that like the Columbine school Massacred these gentelmen for what ever reason feel that strongly to destroy suggests they hgav e renaged or been renaged on by the unwritten contract between themselves and society....

The use of terror has been part and parcel of our history. Suicide as a form of ristance though not common happened .... In fact we celebrate it by telling tourists the myths of lovers leap....

Frankly I belive the idea that Jamaicans will catch heat as a result of this mans actions unrealistic if he turns out to be Jamaican. The fact of the matter is it is the Muslims that will catch the heat.

I have heard absolutely nothing about that here. I suppose they want to be certain as there are quite a few Jamaicans that would be better than upset if the findings were(hopefully) wrong. Also, since many black people say they are Jamaicans when in trouble, a background check would be essential.

Now this is a very important part of the "puzzle"...even here ppl disclaim their own heritage and call themselves "Jamaicans" when they are apprehended by law enforcement..
