What marvelous photos! AND then to find out about relatives, TOO COOL! I think this is sooo great!

The Bride & Groom, are looking soooo HAPPY! I wish for them a lifetime of days where they look at eachother and smile like that!

After the ceremony:

O’Neil, the Rent-A-Cell guy, was our cook. We had Curry chicken, white rice, and callaloo. Yum! After the meal, Kim and Scottie cut the wedding cake. Kim had planned to have a 2-tiered cake, with pillars, but felt that it was too warm to support it. She has her own ideas, so the wedding cake was a carrot cake with white sour cream icing with apple filling. Sounds weird, but it was delicious.

Notice how the cake exactly matches the bodice of the dress? Selina never saw the dress ahead of time!! Just one of those incidents of perfection that followed us the whole trip.

Does anyone know what “birdfeeding” is?



That night, after we all left or turned in, Kim, Scottie, Kim2, Glennford, and Jen went to a bar in Sheffield. It is a place that Kim wanted Jen to see, real “roots” Jamaica, and a place that the 2 couples have gone to often—no beach bar for them!

New Year’s Eve
This was a full fun day. Dani ranged up and down the beach, shopping ‘til she dropped. Jen basked in the sun, and after much coaxing from me, she went on a Jet Ski ride. She loved it, as I knew she would. We warned her about going “swimming” with the Jet Ski guy—you know what I mean? [img]/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

The day before, we made an agreement with Moses to take us out on his glass-bottom boat. All of us, plus Kim2 and Glennford, piled in.

Marilyn, I AM IN DA FAMILY AND WILL LIVE IN DI BOSOM OF THAT HOUSE ON THE CLIFFS Y'ALL ARE PROPOSIN.' It's too cold for these old bones in Jersey...Retiring to Jamaica has a special ring to it. Especially, now, since I've gotten my daughters lovin' Jamaica too!

I almost forgot to include this boat. It was registered in the Marshall Islands, but I forget its name. We saw a crewman, and he told us it cost $6 million. It looked like it would sleep 8-10 comfortably, with a crew of 4-5. We could dimly see into the main cabin. It was well appointed and even had plants around the room, like a luxurious living room. We all decided that we could stand to travel on the high seas in it.



I love the look of this place, the Mahogany Inn. It’s been vacant for about 10 years and occupies a prime section of beach up in the A/I area. It has the longest beachfront of all the properties at that end of the beach. We went ashore and walked through the whole place. It would be a dream to own this property; but I called, and it’s been sold. (As if I had the money to buy something like this)
