Nice report so far, but I can see you don't have the best memory [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] . The day you and Soloman saw me walking down the street was Thursday, the day you arrived. I was just coming back from Miss Sonia's restaurant with patties that she made fresh for me. I came over and said hello, but then left because I knew you needed to get checked in and all settled.

Dawn wakes me, someone is tugging at my sleeve. It’s Juston , he climes into bed an starts poking me.
OK, we’re going out for coffee. We walk past the others,some asleep, some just waking.

Juston and I stole down to the beach and head up to The Bird for my coffee.
He is just walking beside me, taking it all in, talking to me as we go. He is so much like his mother I am shocked when he does her dance moves and gestures.

We get to the bird; the sugarbird is on the counter next to the coffee.
If you have ever stayed at the bird you know about the sugarbird.
For the 3 years that I have come here a small black and blue bird, in the morning, comes down to get sugar from whomever is there. Juston is mesmerized by the bird.
I’m getting coffee , we sit for a wile admiring the morning’ I am amassed to really be in paradise, I am so fortunate.

When we get back the rest of the group is ready for breakfast. I was going to cook, Dimple was going to cook…Na it’s a trip to Salinas for food.

We all walk to the road and hale a cab to go to breakfast.



Omlets, Jamaican breakfast, pancakes. Umm.



This takes some time, we are all really hungry.

I have stayed at Beach House Villa, next door to the NBCC. Rondel definitely had the best setup. The most toys, the best grounds. The pool is really an attraction at Rondel.
The price is cheaper at BHV,all the same toys with the pool and Jacuzzi being the exception.

g'frend is working with Pulse Modeling Agency, in August there is a big compotation.
We are coming to Kingston for the week of the contest.How hot is it????????

This is my guess from my past piercings...probably a hollow needle. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] She looks like she is in some serious pain there.

Neutral when I had my navel pierced it was the same technique as seen in these photos - mark the skin, clamp it, then insert the "hook" (cause that is what it looked like) - didn't hurt at all [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

After the breakfast we all get back , it’s POOL time.
Me I’m cleaning and working on my computer.

The day before….. the electricity went off. It was determined that my AC unit and the living room TV weren’t working because of a power surge or something electrical in the box outside my unit.



Jenn and I were talking through the entire repair, when everything was fixed, my speakers didn’t work anymore.
I am assuming the surge zapped my power source.
I am trying everything I know to fix the system. No, it’s fried. This happened 2 trips ago, now my expensive sound system is kaput!!

Grandmother is out at the pool serving as the lifeguard. Only brother is swimming ,Juston is walking around the edge of the pool as kids do, scaring everyone. This is a special morning.
My g’frend is calling, the family is on alert, she is coming and they will soon be going.
Were cooking up some lunch, everyone is packing getting ready to go back to Mt Carrey.
I give Dimple money for there trip, I give everyone money for the trip, what ever the want to spend it on.
Juston gives me the money back. I try again to give him some coins an again he finds me an gives it back. He’s a joy, I will miss him… Their off down the road to Mt Carrey;I’m alone.
My g’friend is leaving her house on her way to Sav La Mar……with a surprise for me. Little did I know the surprise would be someone I know from the past….
Solomon calls and will be on his way soon to pick me up .Than we will go to the Taxi stand in Sav La Mar to get my surprise.

I walked over to the beach,



There was Jenn24 coming for food.
We sat down started a pleasant conversation when the drops started. We ducked in to the covered part of the restaurant and began to talk.
Jenn and I spent some time trapped in the restaurant.... . I watched her eat until the rain came down in buckets than I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich.. Not like home, this was filled with calaloo.
We must have sat there for an hour wile the down pour kept getting worse.
I wondered how the family was faring in this storm.
I guess it only hit the western part of the island, when we got to Sav later it was dry.

Solomon arrives.... off we go towards Sav La Mar.
My g’friend is at the taxi stand in Sav, we are racing to get there to get my surprise. It’s such a nice day, I wonder when the heat and bad weather will start. It’s humid and hot but not the pressure heat I found on previous trips.

When we arrive in Sav the sight of her was so nice..than two men got into Solomon’s van behind her I… was a shock. I looked at them… one said I’m Beenie Man from Cambridge.
Wow that’s my surprise?.

Almost 2 years ago we went to Cambridge in the middle of the night to a show .
Just me and about 1500 Jamaicans watching a DJ’ competition. My g’friend and another girl were in the show in a dance competition preview for the Anchovy Dance hall Queen contest.
The crowd went wild at one point, Beenie directed me to a safe place out of the madness. The show lasted till 4am.
I remembered him,he was a DJ' at the show. We chatted all the way back to Negril.
The 2 men are part of my g’friends dance troupe. They do 30-minute shows at places like Margarittavill in Montego Bay; two men, two girls.
This trip the boys were doing a show in Negril at Margaretaville.
We were transporting them to there rooms at Margaretaville for a show that night. We dropped the boys off and we got back for some quiet time.

After all it’s Sunday a day of rest.... I needed some time alone with my friend.
I told Solomon I wouldn’t need him that night because of the rain.
The normal trip to Grange Hill would be called off.

Quiet? NO!!! At about 11:00 the phone is going nuts the boys are coming down to go out on the town. WE GET UP!!! Dressing to go ..?? Somewhere.
The boys arrive ready to go out dancing. Every one is dressed in the finest soon were out to the road.



The only place to go is Close Encounter, south of the Jungle. We WALK down to CE..It’s terrible no one there..... on to Alfred’s.
The group determines this is not the place. Just than Tony, a taxi driver friend, beeps his horn, he wants to take us to Grange Hill.
We negotiate a good price..... off we go in the middle of the night towards Grande Hill.

Puddles of water are all over the road after we pass little London. The road is a mess, the fog is setting in from the cane fields and I’m a little uncomfortable with the drive.
This is very dangerous , I’m wondering how the trip back will be through this water and mud.

Here we are in Grange Hill . I love the place, not the place, the music they play. I think It was Classy that loved the selection of music played here when she was at GH with our group 3 trips ago.

What followed was something to see, my friend dancing, the boys doing there routine, the GH people dancing to the music. Me drinking Red Stripe..... out side smoking with the people there.
Good night, Good time. Thank God I was smashed going back, the road dident bother me. We dropped the boys off at margritavill,than we hit our bed at 5am.

George, This sounds like a wonderful trip. I realized some time ago, that I need to take advantage of the time left here on earth, to enjoy the great expierences that we have in Jamaica. There's almost a guarantee we won't be able to one day. Great report Keep it up. Fred
