Once again, we were the subject of many incredulous stares...and, once again, a simple "Good Day" made a world of difference! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Junior told us that our being "white" people only fully fueled the curiosity of country people that don't often see strangers...much less those in autos!!

All of a sudden, a small, highly excited group of villagers appeared on the road....we turned into a small carpark, and Junior announced:

"OK...we're here...."

Bob lives up at the end of this road...the house he grew up in is just visible at the center...

Bob's mother, Cedella ("Ciddy") is Omariah and Alberta's daughter....shortly after she gave birth to her first born son, she moved , with her baby, to this little house just up the hill from her parents..

I love this part of the post the most. Simplicity,you have to love it. I also love the way you simply wrote: "I'm going to see Bob Marley today". You are definately blessed with the gift of words Dave. Thanks so much for touching my soul tonight with such sweet, honest and innocent words. When I visited Bob's place, I wanted so much to curl up in that bed and meditate.

The cold ground was my bed last night, and rock was my pillow, too....

When Bob would return to Nine Miles as an adult, he would sit at this spot, strum his guitar, write songs or sometimes just meditate...I placed my hand on the stone, and felt Bob's energy flow through me...



this was actually very comfortable!!



I sat down, and realized that Bob had sat on this very same stone....had seen exactly what I'm seeing....had breathed the very air that I was breathing....



and then, overwhelmed by emotion, I began to weep...I wept tears of joy...and tears of sadness for a life taken from us far too soon...

This practice is known as capture land and the people are sometimes called squatters.

My grandmother used to go to Liliput all the time..I think it was to buy fish.

I admire your ability to keep it real. When you speak of Marley, I feel your love for him, genuine and pure. The picture with you on the rock is awesome, I can feel all that you didn't say. You make me want to take a moment of silence to reflect.
