((GB)) im following along... and being familiar with the place i can conjur it up...

IM would be able to give Exact directions.. the way i went is up the cliffs and the back way... seemed a fairly easy drive.. about 20 minutes....

IM too has friends that rent their homes.. i almost stayed there but at the last minute didn't for some reason...

I love your anecdotes Gb.. and descriptions of your friends... though i see you overlooked yourself in some of those shots....

as for jamaican breakfasts.. ive never liked them.. except for porridge... did they teach you how to make that??

Seems youru son knew instinctively how to eat a mango.. i had to be shown how to peel it with my teeth.. once i discovered that... i would agree with him.. yummmm

this sounds like a perfect spot for your stay with kids... cant think of anything better.... when i go back to visit my friend Prento with Dan.. maybe well go to likkle bay again.. and youll have me look up your freind too... Dan has always wanted to go back...

Priceless thread this is of Jamaica not many of us know except for Nina, GB and IM.
Cant imagine IM scooting on Jamaican roads dodging route taxi operators as they compete with each other for precious passengers.

We may try the Little Bay area after Treasure Beach on my soon come reach .... a while back I had found a web site for a place called Coconuts Cottages in that area? Are they still around??

you making fun at the fact i didnt know how to open it??? same with a sweetsopp.. no clue...

i loved it.. i ate it that way once.. and ill dweet it again and again..i just always thought you cut it open.. and i found that impossible so i gave up..... peeling it and eating as you go was much easier..... maybe i'll get one at my korean market and practice some more.. but it won't taste as good off the trees...

People are attracted to our house, for all different reasons. Of course, part of it is that we clearly have refreshments, and there is a little of that...stop by, hope to be offered a beer or cold drink. But not as much as you would think...even a couple of people who came by on that pretense, stayed and talked and talked. The kids were fascinating, certainly. Little magnets...Jonah has a birthmark on his back that is cherry red, and I can't tell you how many people it startled...thought it was a boo boo! But, I had conversations about everything from education to spirituality. Without a schedule, it was easy to allow a natural flow. Listening to people's stories, not asking for help, just talking, it was remarkable. Some were interested in our life at home, what it is like. One young man I talked to had gone all through school, including the secondary/high school....he was quite articulate, yet he was interested in adult literacy programs in the States. He hopes to come here someday, both his parents are here. In spite of graduating, he can't read a book. By the time he gets the letters, and sounds out the words, he has lost the meaning of the sentence.

You know Gb... i know what you mean about the birthmark.... i have had people touch my skin.. ask about marks... touch my hair.... and when bruce came with an injured finger.. everyone but everyone asked about what happened.. and if they could see it...

OK - one last thing ... regarding Nina's natural curiosity ....

My toes are all criss crossy and shoes just kill me so I wear flip flops down there ... and the children automatically reach out to twist them back straight ... and they just pop back to twisty .... they look at me with these wide wide eyes ....
