I gotta be honest with all of you. I seldom come to this forum because it invariably makes me sad that I'm not there with you all experiencing the things you are experiencing. But this weekend I needed a respite from people who are unhappy with themselves and want to make others miserable too. I am a happy person who enjoys life so it feels wonderful to spend the weekend with other happy folks.

Sorry to have not written back sooner but I am busy getting things together to go down soon. As far as giving used things to the people that I know there has never been a problem with any part of it. I have been doing resale shopping for years and I have a talent for picking out the new things and the things of the best quality. The donated things were gone thru with great care to make sure that nothing spotted or missing buttons...ect. was included. I mean, why pay to get junk there! The shoes that were given by a shoe store in Whitewater, Wi. were so badly needed that I saw people accepting shoes that were not the right size. Ivan wet up EVERYTHING and ruined everyones shoes. To get things there I used a man out of the south side of chicago. People from the church donated a truck to get the two containers to chicago from wisconsin and also two barrels. Schools donated books, pencils. pens and paper. Everyone jumped in to help it seemed and we had to stop accepting things after only two weeks. The work involved to do this kind of a random act of kindness is intense. You not only have to sort and pack here but get the containers from the dock to your destination. Then you get to start to UNPACK hahahah and get it to the people. It took weeks but I smile as I type this, it was worth every second of it. There is also the cost of the shipping. The way we did it was to ask the people that donated to pay for the price of shipping as well and thank Jah they all agreed! Once it got to chicago we found out that the shipping was 700 US more than we thought...such is life. I hope I have answered some questions and Jah Bless you all. Sandysan

Opps one more comment. I asked everyone that came to the yard to bring their own sack to carry their things home in , that eliminated any issues at all with the taking. My words to them all were, in accepting this gift you honor the giver. I was given a goat by one man as a way of saying ty. Ahhh yes I am a goat farmer , fisherwoman in da islands and life is Irie. I will be there soon...

Hope you had a great time!

I asked my B about Little Bay .... he told me he has already taken me to that area - back in our first year we had a childless week and rented a scooter and chased all about - including LB. I told him this time he needs to take me back and make sure I understand and am properly aware of my surroundings! LB soon come!
