I realize that today is the 18th of December...

I look at the clock, it's noon.

Wow Dana, that is the first time in 11 years you have not woken up and immediatly thought, today is the day I lost her...

I take a minute to just close my eyes and feel...
I feel happy...
This amazes me after 11 years, and then I feel a pang of guilt..

Grief has past me now and that is a good thing.

It has been a long, and painful journey but today I am ok with out her.

I imagine what she would think of this place and it almost does not matter...
I love it here, and I sense her smile when I think that...
Yes she is watching, and she feels I am happy.
That is what matters...

I stay in the whole day, Imanni even takes a nap about 2, and I nap with him. The place is so peaceful, I don't even want to chase him on the beach today. Imanni is still coughing, and I can't help but cringe. Yes it is a good thing we spend the day here relaxing...

Everybody is off doing there own thing, and I don't see Swedish at all this day.

About 7:30pm my belly is grumbling, and I feel for some Jerk Chicken and fries from Bourbon Beach [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hungry.gif[/img]

I fish the number out of my purse and look at it...

I swallow hard and dial the numbers.

I hang up the phone, and rush inside...
Get myself and Imanni together in a flash. For having such a slow day you wouldan think I could move that fast [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek2.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

I am ready at 8 and we walk to the front. He is there waiting, and I pick Imanni up and look in the window...

I buckle him in the back seat, and he is jazzed. Imanni loves cars, trucks, van's pretty much anything with a motor is cool in his book, and he is happy to ride in the car. Bourbon Beach is not far, and Ras takes the money in while Imanni and I wait...

We all three go back to the condo, and I am thankful for some adult conversation. We eat chicken, and fries, drink ting, and laugh. It was a nice evening, and when Imanni goes to bed, Ras and I discuss tomorrows events.
I tell him I want to take Imanni to YS Falls, and he offers to drive if I pay the gas [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70371-jump.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70371-jump.gif[/img]

He wants to stay, but I don't feel right about it. We say good night, and I thank him for his kindness and understanding...

You know I'm not a s good of a writer as Bandy....(also for the second time in I managed to delete about 5 years of all the pics I never downloaded so I'm just going to donate my camera. I'm not allowed to operate any of them. Plus, you know my version of a trip report would be very boring for the very nice and loyal people who are here waiting for a nice report.

I wake up early, and Imanni is still sleeping. Few mornings are like this, and I relish the silence. I quietly make my way to the kitchen, and get the coffee going. I look at my watch, 7:30am. Out to my veranda I go. I sit and watch another day dawn in Jamaica. I give thanks just to sit, and not worry about potty, breakfast, teeth brushing first thing mi eyes open. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-sleeping.gif[/img]

I sip my coffee and make a list of things to bring today. Lists are a great way of procrastinating, and I am good at it. Imanni wakes up about 8 and I get him some cereal, and a banana. I gather all the things on my list and hop in the shower. I get out of the shower, and look at my watch. 8:30... Ras said we should go early [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70402-thinking.gif[/img] I call him and tell him we should be ready in about an hour. He says he will be here to get us about 10. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif[/img]

I get Imanni cleaned up, and dressed. Grab my bag, and start to fill it with the things I have gathered to bring. Sun block, change of clothes, towels, snacks, inhaler, wallet. I think I have everything... Swedish comes just before I leave and wants to hang out at my pad for a while. No problem. She wants to meet the Ras, but I decline, and walk out to the gates with Imanni. Sorry Swede [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70459-hugs.gif[/img]

Imanni's still coughing, but we got through the night with out the inhaler, so I think he is ok...


I have it with me just incase...

He is waiting for us when we walk out, and I hold back my excitement...
I have never been to the falls myself, and I am bursting to get away for the day. Imanni feels the same way, and jumps happily into the back seat. I get him buckled in and we are ready [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bannana_purple.gif[/img]
