I walk through the gates past the man selling cigarettes, I mouth "no thank you" as I pass. I pay the fee, I think it was $300J and get my stamp...

I am not a person who likes a lot of attention. I try to go un-noticed [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img] I look for the stage, and start making my way up front. There are tables set up to the right of the stage, and I make my way there. I want to search the faces for him, but I need to focus on my steps. I take a sip of my stripe, and I see this Ras walk up to the table in front of me... He is searching for a lighter, and he turns and looks at me. I hand one to him, he uses it, and hands it back. He turns around and pretends to ignore me, but I can feel the vibe...

I take a minute to study him, all dressed in white, his locs tied up neatly in a bandanna. His smile is bright, and his vibe is gentle.

I tell him that I am not here to meet anyone. I have my baby, and just sliped out for a minute to dance on the beach. He looks at me, looks at the bench I am sitting on and gives me this look [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70456-eyebrows.gif[/img]

He switches the subject to music, and that has me coming out of my shell... I tell him about the best show I saw in SF... Burning Spear, and how I danced all night. The conversation is light, and he is not pushing...

I keep turning to look over my shoulder and scan the crowd...

When the music ends he offers to give me a ride home. I take one look at the beach, and all the other men standing around, and I accept. We make our way through the crowd and out to the parking lot. I get in the car, and it's really nice. He gets in, and says there may be one next better party down the way... Yellowman is playing... I look at my phone, Swedish has not called... it's after 1am.. It takes all I have to say yes, but I do... We head up Norman Manley and there are people EVERYWHERE [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek2.gif[/img] He tells me it's a staff party for the hotels.

We get to the "other party" and I am not feeling it. I tell the Ras I want to go home. He has no objection, and tells me to lead the way...

We pass back through the staff party, and there is smoke from the stands and the food, cars everywhere, sound systems compeating with eachother... wow... what a party... maybe in another life...
