Actually, I reset the virtual program and now it is installing XP from CD-ROM on the virtual side. It did ask me if I wanted to partition XP or not. I said yes but I am not 100% sure what impact (or not) this will have. Installation setup is at 33 minutes to go, so hopefully, you will be around then if I have any more questions?
Honestly though, I really appreciate all of your help Tuff Gong! You are far cheaper than my Nerds on Site guy

yeah, that is what I was trying to do but it wont work -kept getting an error msg. Once I reset the program, it was able to read the CD and proceed.
I am going to DL VPC 04 and try to install the MS test Vista on top of it see what the routine is I don't know off hand.
The procedure should be
You install the VM, which will give you the space, and the Drive.
You either install the OS via a console on the Vista Desktop of you open an Dos Box CD to the CDROM Drive and install from there.
Now since the XP is going to need to do some more stuff it is important that you keep going to the VM.... from here not having it install I don't know if VISTA will let you.
I suspect though that you should use your F10/F11 Key to boot in the VM which should be able to Self-BOOT I will check.

It seems to be taking a while but moving forward.

homeboy has some time on his hands </div></div>If you are writing Cross-Platform software it is good to have a number of VMs. Last year I have a Windows Mobile, Google Android and Windows CE 3.0. on my machine when I was testing stuff for SmartPhones.
