So JKid, what you are saying is that the physical .pst file you keep off your C drive? I do back up my entire drive daily onto an external hard drive and to an online storage site as well.

This should achieve the same thing you are saying or should I be doing something different?

Yes, that will achieve a similar result, in a long round about way.

I just don't need to keep backing up all my software along with my data files everyday by doing the entire c-drive. I only need my changing data secured. I image my software if I ever need to do a reinstall of the c-drive.

Of course as I said I don't use Exchange but what I did to keep my files global and mostly off my system is use Google IMAP.
Make the Folders/Labels then retrieve my mail in WindoZe after which I uploaded my previous mail to folders in my Google IMAP. So now my mail old and new is universal and I can access them everywhere.

Good point I partition all my drives; OS on drive &quot;C&quot;, programs on &quot;D&quot;, and more times than not, all my data &amp; other files on &quot;E&quot;. I reformat drive &quot;C&quot; once a year, and find this way of doing things makes life a lot easier.

i think I understand all the techo goobly-gook you all are chatting about....my backup system does it incrementally. meaning after the first initial backup of the entire drive, it only backs up any changes it finds on a daily basis. It only takes a few minutes.

That said, when you say you reformat the C drive each year, what do you mean and why is it making your life easier?

LOL.... Simple POP use Get Mail IMAP use Send/Push Mail IMAP give real time access like Exchange/Blackberry and preserves all your labels/folders. Any changes on the IMAP Server reflect more or less instantly on the Clients.

With POP each Client Operation is local and is not seen across the Network.
That is my overstanding.
The Main thing to setting up Google IMAP is making sure it is:
On in Google
On in your System
On in the Router
That the incoming and outgoing ports are set correctly
That the IMAP Version is set to IMAP 1 in the Router (I think Google can use any flavour of IMAP, but settle the first version ensures at least compatibility).

It isnt the printer Geneva, it is <span style="font-weight: bold">Vista </span>(which is on my desktop) that is casuing the connectivity issues.

I have no issues whatsoever with the wireless printer with my laptop which runs <span style="font-weight: bold">Windows XP Professional</span>.

<span style="font-weight: bold">FYI: It is a Dell AIO 966 Wireless printer.</span>

FYI: the one I have is supposed to be designed to specifically work with Vista, so no matter what wireless printer you choose, you might end up with problems.

Looks the same when the emails come but if read mail on the server or any client it is marked read on the clients. If you create/delete a label/folder on the Server it is reflected on the Clients.
