I did a grocery shopping frenzy yesterday morning as they were warning there would be no travel advised any time today. I'm going to do my cooking this morning in case the power goes out and I'm sure happy I have a wood stove and lots of wood!

I'm sure these little finches have a belly full wherever they are hunkered down!

I MIGHT go down by the lake today. Not sure though, it needs to stop raining and drizzling along with the snow falling for me to take my camera out there!

I'm sure the lake is still pretty wild, they don't just suddenly calm down!

Hey Stormmey, that one bird was just staring at me! I took the pic of the finches from inside the house and I didn't notice his glare... he looks bexed.

Seasons greetings everyone! Nanook those pictures are so lovely and I do read The Pioneer Woman. Her story caught my eye a few years ago - pretty interesting experience and her recipes are awesome.

OK, so I have a ham and a sirloin roast in the oven. Later before it's dinner time I'll make the chilies! I'll make soup of the roast and some beef enchiladas some day next week or so but since i really have come to dislike cooking, I'll do a whole bunch of it at once so I don't have to do it again!

There is a lull in the snow action! I certainly hope this is not it, I will be sorely disappointed. I'm even plowed out so I tried to go to the park to take pics but even the blacktop road to the park isn't plowed yet and I'd never get up the park road so I had to come home.

Marnin everyone! Hey St. Ann...so good to see you and see you are a Pioneer Woman fan as well. I just love her spirit and yes, her story is incredible. I loved every minute of reading her chapters long "Black heels to tractor wheels" story of her and the Marlboro Man! I adore her photography skills and her fun way of cooking. Yesterday she posted a short ribs recipe that I'm dying to try.

Praise the lawd anaddah Christmas finish!! Mi belly so full a fat & shuggah...

Anyway we had a blast Christmas Eve at my brothers with the whole family and then some. Christmas day was a nice chill day, but still more food...

I am ready for some serious salad and exercise!!

Ethan was great, even tho he got his flu shot the day before and was kinda feverish & tired.
Jake & Madi totally got the whole Santa thing. Madi thought the gifts HAD to be opened by the tree.

Jake has been bouncing from toy to toy for days.

Hoping you all enjoyed your Christmas. Looking frward to a better 2010!!

Morning all

Well it's almost 2:45am and everything is so peaceful and still. I just love the stillness of the early morn.

I am officially getting old turned 27 today and I had a blast yesterday family took me out to dinner at my favourite restaurant yesterday. I didn't mean I had a blast turning 27 either I had a blast at my favourite restaurant with family and friends am still kinda depressed bout the age thingy

Gone back to enjoying the stillness of the morn, have a great day all.

whew! first christmas at home in 5 years - it wasn't as bad as i thought

we had ham, brocolli au gratin, sweet potato pudding, cornbread dressing, assorted mini deserts - all compliments of Publix - very tasty

spent the whole day downloading stuff before it would work

The first time in too many years all my brothers and sister were all together for Christmas!

It was soo fun especially for my grown kids to see us all together and the love we share.
We are getting a lake effect snow storm I say bring it on ..its our turn! I'm staying home and playing house

Marnin all! I'm back on the run today! Happy storm Roots! This was a biggie. 26 inches in some places and up at the lake the power went out for 2 days. I'm so thankful for my power, and all the new snow is so deep and beautiful!
