Mokatee says something about ackee and how she has never had it. Biggah tells her he made a new rice dish loaded with ackee and other good stuff. He invited her into his sphere of where it all happens...his kitchen. I wasn't invited but I went anyway. I thought it was good, but then I love me some ackee. I think Mokatee liked it too…not sure. I do know that she loved his chicken.

Mokatee gets his famous jerk chicken, which he is cutting up now.


“Biggah, you remember me?”
He stares at my face, but can’t remember.
“The last time I was here, I tilted my plate forward and the hot juice ran down my leg and burnt the out of me.”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah…me run go get de aloe fe rub on ie.”

I go to town on my soup cuz I’m saving the conch for later. I hear this chatting going on and a giggle every now and them. Biggah and Mokatee are having a grand conversation while he chops and chops.



Of course, I tease her to this day about that afternoon. It was obvious he took a liking to our Mokatee. Telling her how much he LOVES to cook and listing his culinary talents.

p.s. if anyone wants to completely OBLITERATE any competition you might have when it comes to summer barbecue, make sure you drop some coin and get a bottle of jerk sauce. I swear you could pour out a measure of that stuff from Bigga on a cinderblock, toss it on a grill, and I will eat it.

you know what ??? I had such a hankerin for his flava ... I pulled out my bottle of Bigga Sauce and used it for dipping some chicken strips last night ... and I had done the same last weekend.

PLEASE PLEASE .... take Monk's advice and always remember to buy some of his sauce to bring home ~ and pay PLENTY UP for his high quality food!! I asked him last time ' how long will this sauce last?? how fast will I need to consume it?? ' it lasts plenty long~~ YUMMO!!

Biggah and me


The man can work the pots and pans and he loves doing it. He says his specialty is baking sweet cakes and things. Now I have never tasted any of his baked goods, but I’m sure gonna stop early in my next reach to find out when he’s pulling something hot and tasty out the oven.

He told Mokatee he also does a sweet number on lobsters. All we had to do was call one or two days prior and he would have them ready. My eyes lit up 80 watts when I heard that. Unfortunately there was no time to get it before we had to leave Jamaica so we never got it. I tell you, next time, next time, next time. Me promise me belly.
