I would think it would not be illegal as we can open all kinds of accounts in our childrens names (eg savings accounts &amp; such) but the adult's name is on the document somewhere

No, no, no - I know they're not arresting him for this but - you'd said it not illegal to buy a house if you're an illegal alien. We know this.

But he bought the house using his kid's ss# - that, I'm wondering, whether this is legal or not. The kid was so young he couldn't even sign the docs.

Isn't that like applying for a credit card in your dog's name or a teenager applying for a credit card or something in their parents name unbeknownst to them ... ?

think of the wealthy people or even de mafia people dem.. dem noh have much eena dem name.. but eena dem minor pickney, wife, granpickney name etc..

when tax time come (gen keep mi honest here), the taxes are based on the income of the children so dem pay less taxes dan the adults would have had to pay.

no it is not illegal to purchase assets in your child's name. Using their SSN # for credit purposes is entirely different.

I still don't see how you can find any saving grace in Ms. Williams take on this. You said she is an idiot; I am left to wonder why are you emulating her?
I have lived in the East before and there is a certain kind of New York Jamaican who even if they are here from woe-ie-woe take no time to learn the ropes and when the have a problem turn their rather small circle which is often times just a barrel of recycled hogwash. I am pretty sure that is true in other locale where immigrants are in present in numbers.

Rape and Sexual assault is a power move and generally the abuser has some control over the victim. This lady's illegal status and her obvious need to step outside of her small confined space might have been what made her son attractive.
To further twist the knife by telling her that if she neva did dehyah illegally then this would not happen and she would have know what to do is just callous.

She could have been in a Garrison in shiIIy Killsome and have a similar dilemma.
Just give he the proper advice already and don't pontificate.
