Hi Sukuna, long time

As a kid I duck out at night and went to dances....But to be honest I have never been comfortable with dancehall and its ancestors in Jamaica.... That is just me... I know that adults did threaten to tell my parents I was there a fate worth than death. .( I recall praying for the cold war to go hot ratehr than them finding out)...
That children are tolerated is a reflection on us.... That people tolerate it is intolerable.. that parents allow it is wrong.. When I am in Jamaica and have to go ah dance.. I usually go with a friend of mine a police man who has basically finds the promoter and tells him to get the children out.. Usually they comply without too much fuss.. this is just to demonstrate that there are people in Jamaica concerned about this issue... I have heard the argument that dance hall is part of our culture and I dont . In my estimation Dancehall is a reflection of Jamaica.. Both its creativity, its innovation its spirit and it entrepernuerial bent. There has been little regulation or application of regulation to control it...I find the noise polution, lack of crowd control, lack of fire regulation associated with it abominimal.. And I frankly dont see the attraction..
I dont want to apply any censorship to the lyrics. (I hate boom bye, bye and its ilk) as far as I am concerned anything goes in their just keep the children away and control the noise and where they take place....
