Well that doesnt make it right,.....the fact is that homosexuals exists in jamaica,and the fact that jamaica does not accept it will not make it go away,jamaica can bun fyah and try and sweep it under the rug but homosexuals are a part of jamaican society,and will always be,there is simply no way of getting away from it.

My personal feelings are that as a so-called christian society something will have to give eventually,when religious beliefs and economic expediency are at odds I believe that economics will win.

my brother-in-law announced he was gay when he turned 21

my ex-husband was gobsmacked

he asked me what i thought

i told him - it didn't make any difference to me since i wasn't planning to ever sleep with him or have a relationship with him

BTW - just found out this week that Couples accepts same sex couples as guests

Jamaica will lose out with her stance on homosexuality. Who wants to get hassled while on holiday? Rather go to Cuba or Dominican Republic - much cheaper too - where homosexuality is accepted, c.q. tolerated. (Met gays in both places).

I received such a vitriolic verbal attack from a Jamaican while I was there after casually mentioning a gay friend, it put me off him completely. Give me a chilled-out gay any day to hang out with!! (Especially in the gay disco! )..........

The arrival of tourists in Cuba in the first quarter of 2009 increased in 1.9% compared to the same period last year.

According to the website of the National Statistics Office (ONE), from January to April 2009, a total of 1,046,559 visitors arrived in Cuba, 19,468 more than in the same period of 2008.

The ONE website indicates that 236,622 tourists arrived in the Caribbean archipelago last April, that is, 3,954 (1.7%) more than in April 2008; 14.6% more than in April 2007; and 1.4% more than in April 2006.

Cuba has become one of the favourite and most complete destinations for tourists around the world as it guarantees the visitors’ safety and top quality of life along with its cultural and historic legacy and ample recreational options.

Cuba has also become an excellent destination for tourism of events and health tourism due to the prestige of Cuban medicine and the high levels achieved in the organization of congresses, symposiums and other meetings of professional from different areas.

According to the ONE website, the top markets of the Cuban tourism industry are Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain.
