well he has not had a pop hit song. it's pretty simple and that doesn't need some cloak and dagger conspiracy to explain it.

and I am saying all through his legal troubles his songs were played on air, on radio stations all across the country and world, despite some stations pulling his songs off when the sh!t was really hitting the fan it was no where near any kind of 'they' level act. he has a big catalogue of hits, and those songs can't be denied fair airplay. The suggestion they were is totally ludicrous.

if you are bemoaning that he was not as popular on the pop charts in recent years, and his newer songs did not gain any traction on the charts, that happens to dozens of artistes whose re-entry to the charts gets lukewarm or tepid response. I would say it probably had to do with the fact that a lot of his later material just didn't catch and frankly was not as good. It is hard to top such a smash as what he had before, anyone will tell you that and very few artistes can manage it. he had two huge albums in a row, three even.

listeners can request all kinds of songs that will never get played. You can get 100 people to call up and request Sam Fyr and his pan flute and they won't play it.

you are going a looooooong way to say that he was banned from radio play as part of some conspiracy to break him down.

look at the career of pop stars, the public is fickle. everyone has their time as a punching bag, from Spears to Aguilera in recent times, to dozens of others, like Madonna, R. Kelly, and so on.

the &quot;industry&quot; can only control so much and the players in it want their money like nothing else. now with digital music there is even less control than ever and their revenues are plunging to the toilet, even artistes. Now artistes release an album to support their touring when they used to tour to support their album.

believe me, anyone who could have benefitted from a blockbuster MJ album, they would probably have LOVED to get it out there.

He just did not produce one. Which is not a crime.
