I listen to Bob's music and my only regret was I didn't get the opportunity to listen to it in depth as I did when he died as to when he was alive. I was quite young when Bob was in his prime so my opportunity to listen to his music came when I was grown and had the freedom to obtain and listen to what I wanted in my own pad.

Better to be late than never

As for Michael I admire his craft a skilled and talented entertainer/singer. I wouldn't exactly blast his music in my car sound system while cruising down the road the same way I would do Bob's. Nevertheless MJ is a genius.

It seems to me it the <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">guilty conscience </span>of the ones who down the man about his being a sell<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">-out </span>and now want to championing his cause in death that his talking on these pages.

was answering your reply to nylah who was (very heatedly) responding to my post;

for me personally, i didn't agree with michael's actions with the mutilation, but i heard about his death when a couple of dudes were in the street talking about it and laughing &amp; making mean jokes about it, which struck me as low... so that is what i had in mind- not any statement you or anyone else made in this thread regarding mj; i am saddened to hear the news and something like death is greater than petty differences ones may have in life...
have always been &amp; will remain a great admirer of michael jackson the performer/talent...
in a time like this a human being has lost his life- the game has changed...he is a historic &amp; greaet person, so i pay homage

I still don't remember anything negative being said at Bob's death. I am not in his immediate circle and the news where I am did not report anything negative about him during the (honeymoon period) of his death.

i rememebr in the 80's they had prince vs michael debates...they are really different; prince more of a musician even though a great performer as well;
but michael just in another stratosphere...pure god-given talent; the voice, the emotion in his words, the movements of his body...the guy was just a freak of nature...born to be a musical performer

lol @ the responses to prince.

i was just thinking of the different reasons that people mourn celebrities.

michael jackson - i love his music, and i'm a sucker for a tragic story, so between those two i was able to find some tears at his death, and the way he died.

prince - i love his music too, but his stuff reached engaged my emotions in a deeper and different way. prince was the guy whose music broke ground and because it wasn't pop-y, appealed to a smaller and in my view more discriminating crowd than michael's music. for the kind of person i was, prince's music meant more in my life. Kiss, 1999, down to his latest stuff like Fury - i can get lost in that music.
