No one can call you a tourist anymore marilyn,..you spend more times out there and spend far more money out there than most jamaicans.

I have lots of family who work in tourism and depend on it for their living,....I`m sure they would be interested to know who would put food on their tables or send their kids to school if tourism to jamaica was stopped....they would want to know if the people doing the talking is going to feed them or are they just prepared to talk nonsense from behind their computer screen.

Tourism continues to be the strongest performer in the Jamaican economy, according to the Bank of Jamaica’s (BoJ) Quarterly Economic Report for April-June, released last week.

The only other sector projected to record expansion is the hotel and restaurants sector which benefited from the diversions of visitors to Jamaica from Mexico due to the outbreak of the H1N1 virus there, as well as the advertising and promotional activities of the Ministry of Tourism. In this context total stopover arrivals are expected to grow by 1.5 percent.

Overall, growth in hotels and restaurants was estimated to be above the average expansion of 1.9 percent over the last eight quarters.</span>

Then perhaps Jamaica should tighten her laws regarding those aspects of tourism that inflame the sensibilities of right thinking Jamaicans. As you can see, it DID happen in my area, but after almost 2 years of investigations, the police lak e down and the owna long with it....Shades however, and Hedo as you point out , are still open. So which came first, the chicken or the egg? The demand for the &quot;service&quot; or your countrymen (and women) who provide it? ANNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDD WHY doee YOUR country embrace it and allow it to go on untethered?
