oh yuh never tell mi sey it was the guide at rose hall tourist attraction who was the source ....of course she must be telling the truth ..she would have no reason to embellish the story...i stand corrected..carry on.

When the grave was found after the current owners brought the property, the reamains were exhhumed and confirmed as hers (don't ask me how...mi noh know). After that a coffin was built and her remains were placed in there.

In the 1970s and 80s when Vodoo priestesses were brought to Jamaica, they were apparently successful in communicating with her spirit. They were tryign to trap her in her coffin. So they put crosses on 3 sides of the coffin. When it was time to put the forth, they were not successful in esablishing contact with her so they could not determine if she was in side or out. They were afraid to put the 4th cross because, she wouldn't pass the cross and enter. So they left the 4th side of the coffin without the cross so that her spirit could come and go freely.

RichD. She is in Jamaica telling the story. With the number of Jamaicans who visit, I would think if she was lying someone would have corrected her by now. You seem to think you know more about this than she did. Are you perhaps Annie Palmer?

tropicana ..im not claiming to have any additional information ..i just know enough to have a healthy skepticism.

btw..i was in montego bay the easter WE they had the séance in about 1977 or 78.

When I was a boy we used to go out there quite regular me and my friends,we knew a man that had connections there and could get us in anytime,...one night we were all outside the house and someone started stoning us,pere rackstone started coming from the dark,...waan piece a running wi puddung,....I mussi did run de almost 20 miles back to mobay.

Was that the time they claim to have made contact with her spirit? Was that the time they put the crosses on her coffin? Apparently Voodoo priests from Haiti have come to Jamaica twice to try to deal with her.

Did you ever go inside the house? Do you think Annie Palmer threw the stones? What do you think of the storird about the maid that was pushed from the balcony and the smashed tea cups?

I`ve been in the house lots of time,and yes as a boy I believed anything,and all of us boys were convinced it was annie palmer flinging the rackstones.

What was the inside of the house like before it was renovated? Was it just the main wind or were the other 2 wings still standing? Apparently it was a calendar house.

I really cant remember much about the inside of the house,I dont know what it`s like now but when we used to go it was pretty much renovated,...I also went on a school visit,one thing that I can remember though is the thing she used to pull to summon the slaves to her bedchamber.

RichD, as I said, this was the first time I have ever set foot in Rose Hall. I am sharing what I was told. I am not an expert about the subject and never have I claimed to be. The guide said certain things and I stated that I believe her, feel she would have no reason to lie. If she was lying, she would have been challenged as she is in Jamaica and Jamaicans are in and out of there all the time.

I don't believe that her spirit pushed the maid or smashed the tea cups.

Now Daddy Neutral, other than the rockstones, did anything else that was strange happen?

Yeah I saw that chord she used to summon the slaves. That was one of the few original pieces, 2 photos, her sewing box, that chord and a couple of more things.

No,but you can imagine being there at night, it was pretty spooky,every little noise we heard spooked us out,...me and my friends were walking around clamped together like leeches,no one wanted to go anywhere alone.
