Well if this type of thing go on so much then maybe a movie portraying the total breakdown of the father daughter relationship is a timely one. The fact that the movie depicts the family as black could be viewed as racially motivated perhaps but then again it may open a window for some in middle class white America to see a society that for the most part they choose to ignore and would rather not see.

fictional characters, but the african first lady is someone who actually existed...
she was the wife of a head of state but for the movie she lays on her back & gets a rooksin from amin's young white doctor...interesting that they found it necessary to throw in that tidbit which by all accounts was fictional

Even in Jamaica, but it's yet another of the dirty little secrets that we prefer to pretend do not exist or only happen to "those people" (any group other than us)
