The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that professional golfer Tiger Woods has been seriously injured in a car accident that happened earlier this morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol says he hit a fire hydrant when he was leaving his house, and drove into a tree on his neighbour's property around 2.am. Friday morning.
He has been transported to hospital in serious condition but no additional information has been provided.

Exactly. He hit the hydrant in his own yard as if he didn't know it was there?

Yes there must be more to the story. Leaving his house at 2am? Tiger does not strike me as a drinker, at least not a heavy drinker so I'd be shocked if it was a case of DWI.
