Will Massachusetts Vote for Obama?

"Tonight is the Night" when the American people will witness an event that could cause a setback for Obama and his agenda..

How did one of the safest Democratic seat and Kennedy stronghold become such a toss-up that the Republicans seems so hopefull? ~ Who among us are willing to venture a decision one way or the other? I believe that the Democrats will sneak through, but listening to the Media, one would never think that <span style="font-weight: bold">Martha Coakley</span> stands a chance. Did the Dems pick the right candidate? ~ What's your take on this?

Well, Massachusetts has voted a few moderate republicans occasionally. Still, If repubs get their people out to the polls and dems stay home - or critical demographics within the dem party stay home - because they feel betrayed, disillusioned, their votes won't make a difference, they're stoned - take your pick - then this could continue a disturbing trend from the Virginia and New Jersey gubernatorial races.

I don't live in MA and don't know anything about this Coakley, except I heard some report that she made some name for herself prosecuting that British nanny a few years ago. And I can't bother to google her, so ...

I live in Massachusetts. Martha Coakley has made her name as a tough attorney General, That has prosecuted just about every big business ,as they come.
From the Ponzi Scheme I think that Massachusetts citizens may be the only ones that got back substantially from the Madoff scandal.
But that is just themost recent business that she has gone after over time.
The reason why Brown has gotten so favourable is that Martha, has run a 'non campaign'.
Her ads sound luke a school teacher talking to her students. Absolutely, no dynamism.
And she didn't do much of a meet and greet .

while Brown has done all of that.

There is rumor that he use a body double to cover some of his meet and greet. I don't know I've never met the man.
Nor his double for that matter.
Anyway they took the seat for granted and if they lose, it will teach them a valuable if expensive lesson.
Remember that Massachusetts, already have a lot of the coverages that they are trying to pass.
So if the law fail,it would not affect Massachusetts as the rest of the country.
That Is why the dems should have paid more attention.
Since they voters don't have any horse in the race.
So they should have realize that they would need some motivation to go out and vote for the health plan.

Massachusetts is the only state with mandatory health care.
Ther is not much benefit to be derived at present with the federal health overall. Unless it will reduce the cost. That have not been explained to the mass voters.
That mean 97% of the state get health care.
Even some corporations stop offering health care to their workers.

Since it doesn't work as an attractive incentive any more.
It is not about health care.
It is all about jobs.

Watching the speech from this guy Scott Brown and hearing the crowd of supporterws mek my stomach churn..Dis is sickning. The political discourse in this countey is very ugly
