Well said and well put MGee. For me, your statement in bold zeroes in on what I think is the crux of what his decision ought to be...should he resign? I think so. He and the lawyer representing Dudus have both mis-spoken, but as leader of the NATION, Golding has blundered badly by lieing about the &quot;Manatt boondoggle&quot; whether he engineered it or not...

The Comrades are very good at doctoring period.
So far they have completely made the Dudus problem a JLP and more specifically a Golding problem when the JLP and worse Mr. Golding came in on the tail end of everything.

All I have to say is I did try to warn them, publicly.
I did try to remind them that Eddie Blinds 1980 Government lasted 3 years and I would give Bruce Golding a year if he did not shut down or match the Comrade Propaganda.
Good intentions never run politics.

He failed. Time for new Elections.
Let get a Government with a leader that has some sense.

There is no need for a new election at this time if by caucus there is consensus that he steps down by resigning and a member of cabinet be chosen to replace him as Prime Minister. He himself will make that announcement to the Nation. The next step will be the tendering of his resignation to the Governor General who will be instructed to appoint his chosen replacement as Prime Minister on behalf of HRH the Queen. ~ Will there be pomp and ceremony? I guess not, just formalities...

Dr. Peter Phillips.The Chairman of the Opposition's People's National Party (PNP) Communication Commission, has reaffirmed that the party machinery is ready should Bruce Golding led Jamaica Labour Party government decide to call early elections.

Dr. Peter Phillips says the Opposition is ready to rescue the country from the present government.

&quot;The People's National Party is united in its purpose that we cannot allow a criminally controlled state to develop in Jamaican or a state that criminals have undue influence in. (This is) not really about seeking power for the PNP as much as it is about rescuing Jamaica from the prospect of becoming a criminally controlled state or a narcotics state and a rogue element in the international community, Dr. Phillips said while speaking at the launch of the Mobile Constituency office for South West St. Elizabeth Friday night.

And the Opposition is still refusing to comment on the latest developments concerning the Prime Minister.

The PNP is keeping a close watch on the situation but says it will not issue a statement at this time.

Party officials will be busy Saturday making final preparations for Sunday's emergency meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) at the University of the West Indies.

The PNP is among the groups calling for the resignation of Mr Golding.

Party President Portia Simpson Miller told reporters earlier this week that she had lost confidence in the Prime Minister following his admission that he sanctioned the Manatt, Phelps and Phillips arrangement.

The Party's affiliate, the Patriots, has suggested that Opposition MP's boycott sittings of Parliament if Mr. Golding does not resign.
