Who in the government have the expertise to clean up oil spill??? This is ain't like FEMA who have people trained in rescue operation and have resources to supply food, water and shelter for those affected by a disaster.

alright Wendy, the intent is not to bash Obama, and god knows mi dont expect him fi scrape oil.. nor duh the cleanup, but its been what 34 days now and the authorities simply chatting crap bout how &quot;responsive&quot; BP is?

Listen this is simply a matter of BP's survival, simple.
BP owns the problem due to legal and regulatory structures. Government simply does not have the capacity to rapidly take ownership of and to organize and solve a problem. For example, the delays in giving a permit to build protective berms in front of the marshes.

Smells to me that BP prefers to have the oil in the gulf rather than captured in tankers. I suspect that the cost of disposing of that oil/water mix is very expensive. The key to understand is that BP is fighting for its survival, the company pension and the executive perks and paycheques. The latter have big mortgages and private school fees to pay every month, and if BP fails, they are looking at severe drops in their personal standards of living.

So dont be fooled, decisions are being made with spreadsheets and financial risk management calculations. What is good for BP is<span style="font-weight: bold"> unlikely </span>to be good for America at this point.

I think this statement you made here is where I am coming from. You are admitting here that the government don’t have the capacity to handle this kind of problem. And aside from labba mount Sarah Palin if you notice not many GOP in Congress stepping up the blame on Obama cause as yuh know a fi dem laxed regulations a di source of this problem and they too know there is so much he can do to fix this than to do what he is already doing – which is presurring BP to act and act quickly.

If you ask me what I am truly disappointed in is that he has not stepped to the podium an sey im ago reverse him course on oil shore drilling at least til tings investigate an di Govamnent have structures in place to make sure this noh happen again or that companies drilling have the right plan of attack the moment catastrophe happens. That’s what I think is lacking.

see thats the thing, i'd prefer to NOT see Obama speak right now.. I'd prefer to see him DO.
Its 34 days and the oil is creating irriparable danmage to every aspect of life in the sensitive area in the Gulf.
Its just as cheap Al Queda had dropped a bomb in these places as, not only the wild life is being decimnated, but also any resemblace of a econonomic recovery in Louisanna, Alabama Florida is being seriously treatened by this.
Tourism for example, which is a major economic engine in these areas stand to be all but eliminated.
Who here would pay money to go bade in oil slick beaches? The seafood trade is all but dead, and find it hard to even imagine what is happening to the delicte wild life..
