Okay, BG, I've been teaching student of approximately this age group for 35 years. Some of them have not established their own specifical sexuality at this age.(14-18) Not EVERY person has already engaged in sexual activity before age 16. Some are seriously seeking the answer to their question about their feelings. They tend to fight off these &quot;funny&quot; feelings, because homosexuality puts them outside the Pale. It makes them a pariah of society, an outcast.

Think about it, BG. Why would someone <span style="font-weight: bold"> CHOSE</span> to be an outcast? Why would <span style="font-weight: bold"> YOUR</span> son or daughter incur your hatred willingly, knowing how strongly you feel about homosexuality, admit to such feelings?

Johnnycakes, I personally agree with you. I feel that anyone who is so homophobic either has deep doubts about his own sexuality, or is a closeted gay and is in denial about it. When one is sure of one's sexual orientation, one doesn't need to constantly excoriate others whose orientation is different. I think this was the problem with the roomie of the Rutgers student; at 18 many students are in doubt about their own sexuality and maybe he felt the need to establish his manliness.

I personally am an atypical female. I don't like many of the things that label the usual female. I know that I am hetero, but outwardly perhaps others may not think that I am. Tomboy as a child, quirky as an adult, and weird as a senior citizen, whatever; I don't care how I am perceived. I don't judge others, and don't care if others choose to judge me.
