in this case, many of the votes were not FOR Ford, instead it was a referendum AGAINST McGinthism aka Slitherman and to some extent, Miller..

Yes, I agree it will be refreshing to not see the mayor marching in the gay pride parade as his predecessors did for no other reason than it was considered the politically correct thing to do.
