Why? Simply because her husband had the audacity to criticise government foreign policy.
How disgusting, underhand and low-life was that?

Was it OK to put HER life at risk for that reason?

This is not entirely accurate in my opinion. We have one side of the story every day in the evening news.

I keep going back to this business in Yemen: we had one side where the Yemen government claimed to be launching missiles on its own territory. Today we have the other side: the US government has been waging a covert war and killing civilians and the Yemen Pres. and Deputy PM were covering it up.

More and more, I think the leaks serve no purpose whatsoever other than put Julien Assange's life in danger. People's positions regarding US foreign policy are not going to change at all. Some see confirmation of nefarious deeds, while others see those deeds as a necessary evil that should remain secret.

The american government are nothing but hypocrites,for years they,ve been covertly using dirty tactics abroad to further their foreign interest,tactics that they condemn other countries for openly,...it,s right that mediums like wikileaks should expose the underhand methods used,..quite frankly I dont see why the big furore of blaming the messenger,we are forever being lied to about the real goings on,......bring it on wikileaks.

Every time that the Us is discovered to be using dirty tricks/and or murdering civilians abroad they trundle out the same tired old excuse about &quot;putting lives in danger&quot;.....blah blah blah !!!....just like when it was revealed they murdered civilians in Iraq,and tortured prisoners,......the Us needs to clean up it,s act,and stop misusing it,s military might,some acts it commits abroad are the kind of stuff that qualifies it as a &quot;rogue state&quot; were it not for the fact that it,s a bully that goes around labeling other countries while pretending to be the good guys.

And look at the hopeless, defenceless countries that the US bullies and attacks.

Have you seen how many fighter jets Iraq has?
Or Afghanistan's battle-ready nuclear submarines?
Look at the size of Yemen's standing army - wow!

Why doesn't the US go and pick on Russia, North Korea or even China for helping to ruin the US economy.

I actually agree with JC that people who are aware of these various misdeeds and don't find a way to blow the whistle are complicit. Presumably many of them drank the kool-aid and think it's all in the country's best interests. Personally, I know I would have to say something. </div></div>

i agree and any one who assists them in any way is equaly culpable.. ie paying taxes to support this actions, teaching their children, fixing their false teeth....
