Evan, If you are talking about an election in Egypt, it would not affect the world economy except in a tangential way IF the Moslem Brotherhood holds any power in the new government . That happening would end the cozy U.S. paid relationship Egypt has with the criminal state of Israel and change the status quo in the Middle East dramatically.
I don't see how a change of government in Egypt would affect the world economy although I would hope it would help the 40-50% of Egyptians who live in poverty.
That would only happen if they went to a Libyan style state socialism.
Not much will change if they, like Tunisia (so far) , retain a capitalist economy.
yes , sure they'll gain the freedom to speak out against their poverty and other problems but will be unable to change that grinding poverty.
Isn't it interesting that no one seems to be addressing this issue but me?
