My response is based on the quote above......which means that currently the US is the number one super power,but that wont remain for much longer,the world economy is swiftly shifting,and the chinese know which way the wind is blowing,...they havent got this far without knowing how volatile the economy can be in deciding who is king,the russians found that out to their detriment.

is there a wall or divider in egypt?
to me the american media coverage is strange, since they seem to be implying that rioting &amp; looting are legitimate means of bringing about change...
would they say the same if americans started rioting en masse to remove our own corrupt governments?
seems to me the gripes they have in egypt sound very similar to the gripes that many have right here in the good ole u.s. of a...
unemployment, hopelessness, etc.

I think that the U.S over-emphasis of the looting may well be a way to justify any serious crackdown on the legitimate mass demonstrations.

In covering the uprising in Egypt, I think the media has it as tough as the U.S government which has to walk a fine line of calling for freedom and democracy and non-violence while all the while hoping that the puppet Mubarack will continue in power by killing as many people as necessary.
Why in hell would the U.S give the Egyptians 1.3 billion per year in military equipment to control their own population if they aren't going to use it when they are supposed to?

Although slightly better, BBC World Service coverage misses the point too. BTW, just a few weeks ago students in the UK were violently protesting increases in university fees.
