His legal team was weak. The lawyer was green. They should have hired a more mature &amp; experience lawyer who KNOW case law. You have good lawyers who can convince a jury that the man in the video is not Buju.

Feds don't make deals. Each person serves the full term, no parole, no early release, no deals.

Did he make the deal prior to conviction? After the feds get you, you are done.

I think for good behavior you can end up serving 87% of your sentence rather than the full term.
And I remember reading that some forms of 'cooperation' can get you time off as well.

It nuh look good fi buju though.
Mandatory sentencing + no parole could mean that he ends up spending more than a decade in federal prison.

In a conspiracy case, your own words and actions can be very damning and they had a whole lot of buju's words on tape.
So if his best defense was, &quot;a likl joke mi did a mek&quot;, maybe he should have tried for a guilty plea and a deal.

Mi nah tel nuk lie though, I was expecting guilty on one of the four charges (conspiracy to posses and distribute) not 3 of 4.
