Dearest Derek,

Whether there were Israelis dancing there or Bush & Cheney doing the jig the night of 9/11, it doesn't really matter to the point I made which was: it is not a custom for people to die in the Twin Towers and the Pentagon on 9/11 of airplanes exploding in their places of work. So any argument that it is not the custom of sea burial for OBL, a professed Muslim, is without merit. He died under unusual circumstances. He could not have expected a customary burial.

Like you Derek I have friends who are of the Muslim faith so I get it. And it would be an insult to them and to me for anyone to think that OBL represents the Muslim faith. He did not.

Of the 90 or so detained Israelis there was a group of five Israelis, now widely known as the &quot;dancing Israelis&quot;, who were spotted in multiple locations filming, and celebrating the attacks.



The men were detained by NYPD. The police and FBI field agents became very suspicious when they found maps of the city with certain places highlighted, box cutters (the same items that the hijackers supposedly used), $4700 cash stuffed in a sock, and foreign passports. Police also told the Bergen Record that bomb sniffing dogs were brought to the van and that they reacted as if they had smelled explosives.

Witnesses reported they were set up PRIOR to the first plane strike, and were seen congratulating one another afterward. The five jubilant Israelis were also seen photographing one another. The FBI seized and developed their photos, one of which shows Sivan Kurzberg flicking a cigarette lighter in front of the smoldering ruins in an apparently celebratory gesture.

these sophisticated planners could not plan well enough to have a better cover story if detained?

Yes Chile was another of the countries in which the U.S either overthrew, prevented or fought against ELECTED governments, putting to the lie the idea that the United States works for democracy in the world. There were also Iran, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Cuba, Vietnam, Indonesia, many African countries including South Africa where the U.S supported the racist government and on and on and on.

For a really good book on the subject of U.S. interventions like in Chile, pick up a copy (used) of William Blum's &quot;Killing Hope&quot; which has about fifty chapters on 50 different interventions after WWII.
I consider must reading for anyone wanting a fairly thorough understanding of what U.S foreign policy is REALLY all about. I believe that reading just this one book can give anyone all they need to know about U.S foreign policy since WWII.
I keep my copy handy for reference at all times.
