Coudn;t the jurors tell the court they cant come to a decision and hang the verdict since there was so much doubt? If Casey comes out in a book and said - I Did it So what? How dem woulda feel knowing they had the power to have the case tried again and they did not exercise their civic duty to see justice through

i did not listen but did you listen to the instructions from the judge? was this an option?

as somebody posted ...the legal system is not about justice its about applying the law correctly(or sumtin like that)

that woulda been my strategy wendilina... ida been the holdout no matter HOW ridiculous i may have seemed, let myself look a fool &amp; taken my lumps, and hung the jury - JUST to leave the door open for one nedda trial. They would have had to dismiss this case and dismiss the Murder One charge - but they could then charge her with NEW charges of manslaughter and/or involuntary manslaughter and taken it to a whole new trial.

and i would not use the word &quot;EARNINGS&quot; to describe money that might come her way after this. is how yuh &quot;EARN&quot; on the death of your child??? even if she did not cause the death directly, it is still blood money.

not to mention her lying and deception COST the taxpayers how much a millions for this travesty of an investigation &amp; trial..... she <span style="font-style: italic">OWES money</span> to the citizens as far as i'm concerned. too dyam bad for her legal bills - let her get jab and pay them out over time, just like every other accused who went through a trial .....

she should not be allowed to profit from her lies and total lack of conscience &amp; responsibility - and yes i know it's done all the time by politicians - but in this instance, the judge has tangible power to prevent her from profiting from bad faith blood money.

when the judge charge the jury him gi dem instruction on how to weight the evidence and what dem mus fine if dem think this is true or that is true...so i do not think there is room to jus hang the jury jus so.

Thats the same thing I said.. I definately would have hung that Jury especially when mi know only time shi get is for some LIE to the Law...

Prosecution put on a shoddy case and expect the PUBLIC to convict her and not so much the evidence. Had they prepared better, I am inclined to think they would have gottem more than some ol stank 4 years for the Baby's Life..

But they were in no doubt that the Prosecution did not prove their case.
Maybe...just maybe if the Prosecution had pursued a Death Penalty Trial, they would have not put such a heavy burden on the Jury.

Even elements outside of the Court, in the hanging-media had questioned whether or not the Prosecution had not over presented the case. One gets the impression that the Prosecutor and her team hung their collective careers on this trial, infusing it with too much emotion.
