Apples and Oranges. Horses kick in defense. Only a fool would try and kick a horse, when kicking is what horses do best, I think.

If a person kicks another person, then they should expect to be kicked in return, and where they get kicked is not negotiable.

kicking an (handcuffed) person (female) in the head, as shown in this video cannot be justified.. it may be &quot;explained&quot;, but not justified..
individuals may be able to justify it to themselves.. but naah.. the actions in that vid cannot be justified in any way shape or form..

this is everyday stuff...
there are hundreds of police atrocities on youtube and thousands mor you will never see...
if you can think of it, a cop somewhere is doing it to someone right now

There is some truth there but my explanation is that she kicked him first while he was only doing his job.

Speaking of job, the guy at McDonalds could have killed those girls. Would he have been wrong?

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't intend that either, but his action afterward belies his humanity. His booted foot lands with momentum on her face; she lands heavily on the concrete. She seems to be out cold. He doesn't even break a sweat, he continues writing.

I agree that he just went back to writing his ticket. He didn't even notice that he'd knocked her out, which made me conclude that he had not meant to kick her in the head...just wanted to give her a taste of her own medicine. Split second decision...

That ^ is what I was doing with RichD earlier. I was <span style="font-weight: bold">explaining</span> it, but I was not <span style="font-weight: bold">justifying</span> it.


And for the record - I doubt the cop thought about it and aimed for her head. He just kicked out in a split second, and happened to have his foot level with her head, I think. He reacted too fast to have planned it out.

kicking someone who is handcuffed can not be justified no matter how you try to spin it;

in another context you will hear some people say a man should never hit a woman, but those same people will justify a man doing anything to a woman if that man wears a babylon uniform...

i have seen a cop beat a handcuffed 15 year old girl bloody, yet some idiots commenting on the video can always find a way to justify it...

let's not go here please.

because unless you lay on a lounger on a beach 24/7, we all have stressful jobs and lead stressful lives. however, the average person on this planet isn't going to try to bash your face in, simply because he/she CAN.

If the job is that stressful he should leave. I don't see/hear where a fireman left somebody to burn because he wanted to get home to his family.

I think we all agree there is bad policing found EVERYWHERE.

Regardless of what our general view is however, <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-size: 20pt">cops have a high stress job</span></span></span>. Could you do that job? I know I couldn't! And when cops show up at a call with a gun in play. In the back of their mind they are going to do anything necessary to protect themselves and make sure they get home safely that night to hug their kids. </div></div>

i tried a different approach..
forget about the lady being kicked.. instead, while watching the vid imagine that the angry cop was somone you know.. a friend, a brother, a son, a father..
after watching that, I'd have some serious questions about the mind of such a person.. DISTANCE and a DOCTOR would be in order..
Its even more sickening to imagine knowing the kicker as a family or friend..
