My last post on this because I've had to repeat it so many times before.

Having written what you did, it is more than obvious that you do not read ZNET so you are unqualified to judge what is written there.

Your usual verbiage clearly indicates that your main source of information is almost entirely right wing sources; sources that are further to the right than the network corporate media and therefore even less reliable than the corporate media from which most J'can.com folks get their disinformation.

Neither you nor anyone else has done anything beyond claiming that ZNET is only a source of opinion. Never once has anyone in the ten years I've been a participant here shown any facts or opinion found in ZNET to be in error.

Of course, no source of information is perfect and I make no such claim but the depth, breadth and accuracy of the information found at ZNET far exceeds that of any of the sources commonly used by the vast majority of readers and posters at J'can.com and the respective populations of both countries.

We have the unsatisfactory governments, economies and conditions of vast poverty in both countries because 90+% of both populations are fed disinformation and are grossly uninformed, misinformed and disinformed . The lack of knowledge and understanding of democracy, economics and the causes of societal ills are what has us in the spot we are in.

That lack of knowledge is caused by the constant drumbeat of lies and disinformation and the farther right one goes for information, the more inaccurate the information gets and the more blatant the lies become. As a regular listener of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Jay Severin who all call Obama a communist and knowing just how right of center Obama's policies actually are, the lies and outrageous hyperbole they all spout
stand out like sore thumbs.

Their often ridiculous (note spelling on ridiculous) claims are regularly shot down by websites like ZNET but you do not, cannot read anything contrary to your erroneous and preformed thinking and therefore lack the knowledge required to judge the truth.

The fact that you wrote that ZNET is all opinion proves my point that you either cannot get past the first few sentences in their articles or that you lack the background to understand what is written there when and if you do attempt to read anything there.

The country and much of the world is falling apart because the overwhelming majority believes what the government, the corporate media (including Limabaugh, Hannity et al) and the .001% at the top of the economic pyramid have told them is true and because they follow those inhumane orders like the &quot;Good Germans&quot; they are.

Were the Great Disinformed regular readers of the truth such as to be found at ZNET and the NYT Examiner, this country, Jamaica and the world would not be sitting in the proverbial handbasket to Hell.

for example: one of the articles their is titled beware of India's billionaires..some of the facts int eh article might be how many they are and what percentage of the wealth they control...the opinion part is what impact will this have on the country in the future. and what should be done.

As previously stated in PM's to a few, my primary reason for leaving the board was the release of several recent studies that found that facts do not matter to people on the right or people with socially backward beliefs who hold erroneous and immoral positions.
These studies found that when presented with facts that directly contradict the fictions that they believe, these people not only do not accept those facts but retreat ever further into the fictions they already believe.

Having taken part in many debates here with right wingers, liberals and religious adherents for about 10 years, finding that I was repeating myself and having come to the same conclusions as the studies vis a vis the wrongheaded thinking of my opponents, I decided that I would stop wasting my time and devote myself to more productive endeavors.

In ten years I have said all I needed or wanted to here and while I won't be participating (with very few exceptions such as this) those who feel that I have validity to my thinking can always find much the same by reading Noam Chomsky, Paul Street, John Pilger or just about any other writer at Znet .

My apologies to Jah Yout, Mariel and the few others for not specifically mentioning them as people of principle for speaking out against the things which we oppose as moral human beings.

I did specifically say that it was MOST boardites that support BG's homophobia (and not unexpectedly as I accept that it is the predominant way of thinking in Jamaica) as a way to show that there were/are exceptions. You know who you are so don't let my omission trouble you.

I commend the moderators and Xavier for permitting the homophobic posts, the insults and other things that might justifiably been blocked and the posters banned as a result of not following the rules

Allowing those things to be printed permits valuable insight into how people think deep down. It is through unguarded and uncensored posts that we can often get to the true character of people and we can get to know these people far better than we can with carefully controlled conversations.

Are the facts contained in that article correct?
If they are correct are not the conclusions drawn from those facts also likely to follow and be true?
You didn't point out any inaccuracies.

You can take pot shots at ZNET at individual articles as you choose but my point still stands: when taken in its entirety, regular reading of ZNET will keep you in contact with the reality of things rather than the illusion of things as presented by the government stenographers and corporate mouthpieces that are the media upon which you base your thinking.

Been there, done this.

I made myself clear......I don't know or care who blew the whistle. What I am clear about is that you and JC (and some others), have been the most babied members of jamaicans.com and for you to bring this piece of JC into the open to point out his failings is joke.

Let I remind you. There have been many rules put in the Board since I have been around. I don't read the rules, but I see the changes to the rules as they have been announced.
One of the many rule changes expressively ban the cutting and pasting of private mails/convos/BTS and Comments from unrelated threads.
The rule was put in to stop a certain member,m because it was claimed he used this technique to start flames on the Board. <span style="font-weight: bold">Does it apply to BG</span>....<span style="font-size: 14pt">apperantly not!</span>
