somewhere else before, but, yeah, that was basically it. And I mean
I didn't have a problem with it, I was quite happy to get on with
my life.
RS: What did you do for money then?
CB: I worked! I did a multitude of different things. I sold
jewelry, I sold furniture, I worked at the front desk of the
Sheraton (what is now the Wyndham), I ran a restaurant, I ran a
night club. Whatever came along that looked exciting, I did it.

People have been sold a bill of goods by the slavemasters and nearly 200 years later, they are still buying it hook, line and sinker. It was illegal for slaves to marry and this destroyed the instituttion of marriage in our community and undermined our family units.

I am not out to prove anything. I just stating what Cindy has claimed and is apparently still claiming in the current documentary (which I have not seen). I am also asking, if she <span style="font-weight: bold">did</span> know, why did she lie about it and <span style="font-weight: bold">continue to lie about it to this day</span>? I mean this is ancient history. Why doesn't she just come clean now if indeed she knew?

First of all, not sure where the term hypocrites is coming from. Not everyone supports random baggy dropping even thought it has become the norm in this era of declining morale values.

The Bible clearly condenms Abrahams, King David's and King Solomon's behaviour so I am ont sure where your question is coming from.

the institution of marriage was stronger among blacks after slavery than it is now...the complete reduction in (formal government/state-sanctioned) marriage numbers that we find now has nothing to do with slavery brainwash and more to do with current out-dated marriage laws &amp; philosophies and current socio-economic conditions affecting the black male especially (disproportionately high numbers of unemployment, incarceration, underemployment, miseducation &amp; lack of respect)
