i dont think so. i think ppl see the inevitable coming and know dat sooner or later dem will have to let the gay thing slide cus the gays nah stop....so on dat note if dem was a Barrack supporter to begin with this nah go really sway dem.

isn't there great enmity between black and hispanics in the states? they just might vote the candidate who is the most sympathetic to their cause i.e., their access to living in america freely. how many of these hispanics are in a legal position to vote?

I think it was a dumb move politically. He has handed his opponent a wedge issue with which to attack him. He could have a given a more nuanced response - like saying it should be a state issue and the states should decide. With that said African Americans would rather stay home than vote for Romney but this may fire up the conservative base who see Romney as a RINO(republican in name only). Supposedly this move is going to energize young liberals to vote in 2012 but they never really turned out en masse to vote last time - it was independents, women and the same old reliable voting block that gave Obama victory in 2008. Maybe Obama is trying to throw the election.
