Burglarized!!! :-(

My diamond wedding and engagement rings, and my heavy gold Greek cross were stolen.
They're gone...

All custom work. Gone forever. Gone. </span>

Mr Witchy's eldest daughter is the jeweler who made both rings (a custom cast) for me.

The engagement ring was worth $8000.
The wedding band was only worth about $2500The Greek cross was only worth about $3500 (with the chain) - but it was from Greece, and that friend who gave it to me is dead now... it was a birthday gift, but also kind of an adoption-into-the-Axiotes-family gift...

OMG!! THis hurts too much! I cant bear this pain!

What's worse yet is that there was only ONE other person in the house besides Mr Witchy and me... and she is a friend of 20 year!

She has been my friend for 20 freakin' years!! And she was helping me clean and reorganize my kitchen, out of the goodness of her heart!

Anyway, don't forget to check any pawn shops that may be nearby.

Sorry to hear about this. Sometimes it's not so much how much something is worth but what it represents. What was stolen from me was given to me by someone close who had recently died.

Mr Witchy gave me that engagement diamond (the big one sitting up high in the set) right after I agreed to marry him. That it is worth nearly $8K isn't the point... that he gave it to me at sch a personal moment is the point! (Although it is a very, very good stone!)

My friend, Maria, gave me the cross... it's unique to her family's little village in Peloponnese. She is gone, and that can't be replaced because she is no longer alive to give me another cross.

I've lost so much... My diamonds. My husband's gift of love. My girlfriend's gift of love. And my other girlfriend's friendship. I've lost <span style="text-decoration: underline">everything</span> today!

What's the point in living any more? Who cares? Not I... I don't wish to live in a world this ugly... I just don't. I won't. No. I will not be forced to live amid this kind of ugliness.

No, Sue, another friend of mine, a friend of 20 years, is the only person who could have stolen them. She's the only one who was in here besides Mr Witchy and me. She was in my house with me yesterday, helping me clean and re-organize my kitchen.

So I also lost a friend, besides $14K worth of diamonds and gold, and irreplaceable emotional attachment value.

I can't stand this pain.

Hey, since you guys were re-organizing, maybe the ring got 're-organized' somewhere. Give your friend the benefit of the doubt and call her and ask her she may have seen it somewhere and put it somewhere and forgotten about it.

No, nunya. We were working in the KITCHEN - first floor. My jewelery was in my master bathroom - master bedroom on the second floor. She only went upstairs once, to use the bathroom... and was up there long enough that, at the time, I thought to myself to tease her and call upstairs &quot;I HOPE YOU CAN SWIM! DIDJA FALL IN?&quot; But before I could get into the front hallway, I heard her coming down the stairs.

Also, when I got home from the police station, I discovered some of my costume jewelery, which had been on my bedside night stand, in my bathroom garbage can. I sure as hell didn't toss out my costume jewelry!


AND, I DID call her. I know where I left my diamonds - where I ALWAYS leave them: on my bathroom sink wall shelf, in the original black velvet ring box from the jewelry store.
So I called gf and asked her in a neutral tone: &quot;Did you happen to take anything from my bathroom yesterday?&quot;
JUST a question. NO accusation. And no hint that I was missing anything valuable.

Her reply was bizarre! She started screaming aat me and cursing me, saying that she's no theif, and how dare I accuse her of <span style="font-weight: bold">stealing jewlery</span>... BUT I NEVER SAID THAT! ALL I ASKED WAS: <span style="font-weight: bold">&quot;Did you happen to take anything from my bathroom yesterday?&quot;</span>
Nothing about jewelry was said... who would think I was talking about jewelry, in a bathroom?!
