<span style="font-weight: bold">Dinesh D’Souza Goes On Counterattack Over Alleged Affair</span>
Meanwhile, D’Souza went on the offensive against World, the evangelical magazine that broke the story of his relationship, denying that he had ever confirmed spending the night at a hotel in South Carolina with Denise Odie Joseph II, whom he introduced at a Christian conference as his fiancée. World’s account quoted two conference organizers, Alex McFarland and Tony Beam, who became aware that D’Souza seemed to be sharing a room with a woman who was not his wife, and passed the information to World’s Warren Cole Smith, who was speaking at the conference. According to Smith’s story that broke the news of the alleged affair on Tuesday, D’Souza confirmed to McFarland that he and Joseph had shared a hotel room but that “nothing happened.”
On Wednesday, D’Souza blasted the World story, calling the quote confirming the night in the hotel room a fabrication. “I clearly told McFarland that Denise and I stayed in separate rooms,” D’Souza wrote on the website of Fox News. “I’m not sure whether McFarland is lying or Smith is lying, but one of them made up the quotation attributed to me that we stayed in the same room but ‘nothing happened.’ This is pure libel.” In the Fox News column, D’Souza categorically denied having sex with Joseph, and claimed he only met her three months ago<span style="font-size: 14pt">. <span style="font-weight: bold">But when asked directly if he was having an affair by Christianity Today’s Melissa Steffan, he turned evasive. “It's absolutely not the case, um, that, um, that, um, um, you know, it's.... Look, the issue here is that World is attributing to me an admission that I never made—is attributing to me a quotation that I never said.”</span></span>
<span style="color: #666666"><span style="font-size: 14pt">D’Souza categorically denied having sex with Joseph, and claimed he only met her three months ago.</span></span>
It remained unclear late Wednesday whether D’Souza was telling the truth about the timing of his acquaintance with Joseph, whom<span style="font-size: 14pt"> <span style="font-weight: bold">former students and staff members told The Daily Beast has been seen around the King’s campus for months.</span></span> Screen shots of Joseph’s now-deactivated website obtained by The Daily Beast show she was writing glowing posts about D’Souza as far back as April, referring to him as a “famed conservative blogger” and one of “our favorites.” A section of the site offering “recommended reading” featured D’Souza first on the list, along with a gushing paean. “When this man passes, the world and the West will have lost an intellectual giant,” Joseph wrote.

Hey it is all about the meal ticket. He had a good run as a right wing talking head and staunch defender of conservatism for America subtly advocating the notion that good 'Christians' are morally compelled to vote Republican. There is a big market for that in the US. An entire network (Fox News) caters unabashedly to that audience while attempting to brand itself as fair and balanced. He may have lost his job at Kings college but he made a boatload from his movie and books and can probably still get a job at Fox News as a conservative talk show host. It is the American way - you do what you have to do and say to get ahead. This is just a speed bump for the man.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Dinesh D'Souza, the former president of a New York Christian college who recently came under fire after it was revealed that he was engaged to a woman while still married to his wife of 20 years</span>, released an article to his website on Wednesday declaring he did not have an affair.
In the article, D'Souza claims World Magazine didn't present all of the facts when it reported that he and his fiancée, Denise Odie Joseph II, stayed in a hotel room together while in town for an apologetics conference in Spartanburg, S.C., in late September. D'Souza and his wife, Dixie, have been separated for two years but are still legally married.
<span style="font-weight: bold">"I met Denise three months ago. We are not and have not been having an affair. Nor did we share a hotel room in Charlotte,"</span> wrote D'Souza. The original report by the magazine quoted Alex McFarland, one of the conference's organizers, who said D'Souza admitted to him that he and Joseph stayed in the same room together, though D'Souza claimed "nothing happened" between them.
Tony Beam, who was also mentioned in the magazine's article and was another one of the conference's organizers, escorted D'Souza and Joseph between the airport, the conference and the hotel.
Beam told The Christian Post on Thursday that Joseph's arrival with D'Souza was somewhat unexpected to the event's organizers – they did not make plans for an extra hotel room for her. But D'Souza's assistant told Beam's assistant they would take care of it. <span style="font-weight: bold">Beam had forgotten that D'Souza was married at first, so upon their arrival he didn't question D'Souza when he introduced Joseph as his fiancée.</span>
He later drove the couple from the conference to the hotel, and was present to make sure the check-in process went smoothly.<span style="font-weight: bold"> He says they only checked into one room, though he acknowledged that Joseph could have possibly checked into another room later that evening.</span>
<span style="font-weight: bold">D'Souza also sought legal advice to make sure he could legally be engaged before being divorced, and said he and Joseph were "trying to do the right thing."
"I had no idea that it is considered wrong in Christian circles to be engaged prior to being divorced, even though in a state of separation and in divorce proceedings," said D'Souza. "Obviously I would not have introduced Denise as my fiancé at a Christian apologetics conference if I had thought or known I was doing something wrong."
While Beam says it is possible that D'Souza was genuinely unaware of this general Christian belief, he was still surprised by the statement.
"It certainly surprises me," said Beam. "I mean I certainly would think that if you've been in conservative evangelical circles ... that you would, at some point, kind of pick up on the idea that announcing an engagement to a woman when you are still legally married to another woman would be a problem."</span>
Although D'Souza says he can be legally engaged and married at the same time, Stanton says the spiritual marriage covenant is still in effect.
"It's disappointing that he was interested in the legal standpoint but not in the Christian standpoint. Legally, that may be no problem ... but, in essence, when you get engaged before your marriage is actually ended, you are on the on-ramp to bigamy," said Stanton.
Stanton, who recognized it would not legally be considered bigamy unless D'Souza tried to marry Joseph before his divorce is finalized, described being in such a relationship as "attitudinal bigamy."
<span style="font-size: 14pt"><span style="font-weight: bold">Since the controversy began, D'Souza has suspended his engagement with Joseph. He filed for divorce on Oct. 4, several days after the conference ended, but says he had been working with attorneys on the filing process two weeks before the actual filing date.</span></span>
I need that phrase Vannie uses but that I can't say out loud....
This sound like some go rung come rung bizniz.
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Here are the facts:
1. My wife Dixie and I have been separated for two years. Dixie approached me and demanded this before I came to King’s College to become its president in late August 2010. I informed the chairman of the college at the time. I also informed the reporter who wrote the World article, Warren Smith, but he deliberately left it out of his piece, even though it is entirely relevant to the context.
2. I met Denise three months ago. We are not and have not been having an affair. Nor did we share a hotel room in Charlotte. Smith did not even ask me about this. Instead, Smith apparently deployed conference organizer Alex McFarland to call and raise the issue with me. I clearly told McFarland that Denise and I stayed in separate rooms. McFarland knew he didn’t have what he wanted, because he subsequently called me back and asked me again. I realized McFarland may be fronting for Smith, so I told him I didn’t have any further comment. I’m not sure whether McFarland is lying or Smith is lying, but one of them made up the quotation attributed to me that we stayed in the same room but “nothing happened.” This is pure libel.
3. I sought out advice about whether it is legal to be engaged prior to being divorced and I was informed that it is. Denise and I were trying to do the right thing. I had no idea that it is considered wrong in Christian circles to be engaged prior to being divorced, even though in a state of separation and in divorce proceedings. Obviously I would not have introduced Denise as my fiancé at a Christian apologetics conference if I had thought or known I was doing something wrong. But as a result of all this, and to avoid even the appearance of impropriety, Denise and I have decided to suspend our engagement.
4. While World notes that my divorce filing was registered with the court on October 4—giving the impression that I moved quickly on the day their reporter spoke to me—in reality I had been working with a San Diego law firm on this for the previous two weeks.
5. So why would World write such a misleading, sensational story that we would normally expect from the tabloids? Actually there is a back story here which was noted by Amy Sullivan at the New Republic, as well as numerous other sources. Marvin Olasky, the editor of World, is the former provost of the King’s College. Olasky was on the search committee when I interviewed to be president, and he vehemently opposed my candidacy. Olasky publicly admitted that he was resigning his position as a consequence of my appointment. The reporter who wrote this story, Warren Smith, also used to work as a consultant for King’s until I decided not to renew his contract. And what was Olasky’s gripe against me? As he put it, I was seeking to make King’s a non-denominational “mere Christianity college” in the image of C.S. Lewis. This for Olasky was simply intolerable. Having nursed his grievance for two years, now apparently Olasky is using World to continue his vendetta.
6. Ultimately this is not just about Olasky or even World magazine. It is also about how we Christians are supposed to behave with one another. And the secular world is watching. Is this how we love and treat fellow believers? If my conduct was improper, wouldn’t it be the decent and charitable thing to approach me about it? Instead, here is a clear attempt to destroy my career and my ministry. This is viciousness masquerading as righteousness. And this is the behavior that is truly worthy of Christian condemnation.</div></div>

I have been sounding the alarm about this for a long time. When a supposedly Christian man picks a woman with her boobs hanging out or, heaven forbid, one who poses naked for magazine covers (like Lolo Jones) what does he expect, it shows something is off course with his values...and hers. Look at what Wayne Gretzky is going through.
In Canada I see Christian men (white) relegating Black women to the do not date pile. I see some Black and East Indian men going after fi dem trophy wives. What do you expect? Of course the dolly house going mash up when she wants to party and show off her boobs instead of fulfilling the role of wife and mother. </div></div>
Pls pls pls dont take this personally but ur marriage failed and ur not a blond trophi baggy droppin bimbo.
I think marriage fail bcus divorce is no longer "the end of the world". Women are more independent. That and sex outside of marriage is no longer tabooo.

She is a bleached blonde Indian with NUFF roots showing and self-loathing issues.
He is also a self-loathing Indian. If they stay together, I feel sorry for their kids.
