So true! Seriously, how romantic is it for someone to bring you the obligatory candy or flowers on Valentine's day when it is expected.

IMHO it is the little gifts or acts of kindness that are given throughout the year that show how you feel about someone or shows how they feel about you.

Here's the rub...most men don't bother with these random acts of kindness and then use the line you just used as an excuse for doing nothing on Valentine's Day. I will never again be involved with a man who can't be bothered to celebrate Valentine's Day, birthdays, etc. It shows that he is insensitive and thoughtless.

Most men dont bother with these random acts of kindness because most women dont make them understand how said random acts of kindness keep relationships blossoming

so the man who does not do the acts of kindness on a regular but does it only on valentines day, does it out of obligation and is still insensitive & thoughtless therefore not worth wasting time on..

Disagree. We do let them know but especially Jamaican men simply do not listen and we have numerous examples of this on the board. Men would do well to read:
