House Speaker John Boehner is a staunch opponent to legalizing marijuana, so he might not be pleased when he finds out his daughter's fiancee has been arrested for possessing the drug.
Lindsay Marie Boehner, 35, is set to marry Dominic Lakhan, 38, on May 10 in Delray Beach, Florida, according to the couple's wedding registry.

In 2006, Lakhan was arrested in Pembroke Pines, Florida for misdemeanor possession of two grams of marijuana during a traffic stop, the National Enquirer first reported.

Boehner’s daughter, Lindsay is about to tie the knot with her Jamaican fiance, Dominic Lakhan and his drug-infested past should be a big issue for the Speaker.

Come come now, one arrested does not add up to a drug infested past.

Jamaican-born Dominic Lakhan, who is set to marry John Boehner’s daughter Lindsay on May 10, was arrested in Pembroke Pines in 2006 for a[COLOR=#009900 !important]traffic violation. He was charged with misdemeanor possession after marijuana was found in his vehicle.[/COLOR]

“Officer also detected the odor of burnt cannabis emit*ting from the interior of the vehicle.

John Boehner, like the rest of his colleagues are out of touch. Marijuana should be decriminalized. It’s a little hilarious that he’s not only getting someone who has used marijuana in the past as a son-in-law. He’s also getting a Rastafarian. That alone is priceless. Um, show me a real Dread who doesn’t smoke weed? Dominic Lakhan is a construction worker.

I am just saying that people make mistakes and for them to drag up something from 10 years ago when he was in his 20s is a bit much. Now if he had been caught a couple of months ago, that would be a different story. Still, it's her choice and the father has nothing to do with it.
