Wedding Day Tragedy- Jamaican Man Murdered After Marrying British National

I did not laugh about a murder......not even close. This thread is about the manner in which the journalist had worded his headline and some of his statements that had a double and ambiguous meaning.

There was already a thread focusing on the murder.....and the story had been posted in that thread a full l5 hours before I started this thread. There was absolutely no reason for me to start THIS thread to focus on the murder.

If you cant understand that...that is your problem not mine. In fact, you seem to have a problem with ANY discussion I start about ANY topic. You come in each and every time I post about ANYTHING and object.

I find it fascinating that you and others are up in arms about a thread discussing the way in which a journalist worded a story. Yet, we have had boardites including a moderator post disgusting and insulting comments directed at me about vibrators, beer bottles and other filth and there has been no censure of them. Not one person has said that's not funny and in fact we have had Definitely some people are far from objective and you lead the pack. I can post the same content that someone else would post and you would have a problem with it....just because it is me posting it. No one is compelling you to click on a link when you see that a discussion is started by me. You do have the option of bypassing it since you find everything I post so unacceptable. Definitely if Xavier had not posted the same video, you would have objected to it as "not funny".

why are you posting my response to something you said in another thread into this thread? context is everything...i did not think making jokes in this situation was in good taste which is why i objected to you comparing my reaction to the murder of this young father & jumbling it with a woman being a buffoon for the camera in a flood situation...the two situations simply do not compare and "If you cant understand that...that is your problem not mine."

Last I checked the overwhelming majority of British Nationals were White....I think it's a fair assumption statistically speaking.

Let me help you with this. She's a British National, which means she could be white, black, Asian, Pakistani, or any other number of races, so your assumption is overly broad. In this case, she's my Aunt and she's every bit as black and Jamaican as you are. She wasn't a white woman on vacation who found herself a Jamaican man. She was a daughter who went home to see her mother and met someone she fell in love with. So leave race out of it. There are no pictures out because it's none of anyone else's business who she is or what she looks like. Even the picture of Damion with the child is blotted out. It's called a right to privacy. She had a gun put to her head, she was robbed not only of possessions, but of the man she married only 4 hours before. She is hurting, she is broken, she's angry, she's mourning, and the last thing she needs is humor at her expense or people gawking at her and feeling sorry for her. If anyone wants to do something for her and our family, try praying. She's getting ready to bury her dead husband! She needs your prayers!

Sorry for your loss Shuana. This is clearly a very challenging time for your aunt.

My intention was not to downplay that in any way shape or form. The goal of my post was not to make fun of her or the situation. I was referring to the manner in which the journalist worded the headline and his comment later. No one was laughing at your aunt or her situation.

I been where ur aunt is a few times. Friends cousins killed or worse. I empertise with her. I felt anger at the insensitvie idiotic attempt at houmour. It is a hell of a thing to have someone find humour in our pain.

Once more, not once did I find humour in your pain or your aunt's situation even though Wahalla and others with their own agenda are trying to give that impression.

Anyone who would find humour in the loss of a loved one would indeed be cold and unfeeling. I found humour only in the bizarre wording the journalist used.
