fuss ting is to make a list of what you WANT in an e-reader -then see which ones fit the bill (literally)



and since you are more tech savvy than most of us, mi nuh see why yuh confused

but but.. mi eye dem a squint a nitetime reading pon the yeyephone
I am leaning toward the kindle for size and their backlighting

lots more comparisons plus gauging what is coming to market soon

Which backlight? Di new kindle have a backlight now?

Bizi you don't need a kindle that play music and all dem odda sinting, oonu already have oonu ipod and iphone dem fi music and games, di Kindle is fi reading!

Me download some book di other day when me went on vacation, unlike di person who name is non grata in dis forum (by di way me did read that eediat pornographic book) these are not recommendations but information on the latest download!

The Sari Shop - dis was free and the story did interesting in the beginning and mediocre by the end.


Unfaithful - dis in the same genre as the eediat book but better writing only bout quarter into that one.

Anne of Green Gables all of the books fi 99 cents I love love love the first one.

Flowers For Elvis - this was free good premise and was a good read for a free book.

The Metamorphisis - this is a classic that people read in school but I never read it was definitely interesting and one of those stories like Animal Farm and the like where it teaching you something about the human condition

I like listening to R&amp;B when mi a read. Lately, the new Jaheim album has been my reading soundtrack....mi download de album to my Kindle and now I don't need to have my stereo or laptop on playing the music it works for me...

I just need to figure out how to turn the volume down

I also download some pics to it, but still a try figure where to find them and how fi get dem to show on the kindle

my coworker has the nook and her pics play as a slideshow when the nook is in sleep mode...i let the kindle go in sleep mode but it still a show pics of ole authors

i also found out that it can surf the net too...

i guess i got somethin out of being stuck on the runway in a plane for 2 hrs

i was able to check mi hotmail and go on facebook

So a weh you did deh with the surf the internet part? Dat is one of the features mi did love show off when me did a advertise fi dem. Kindle owe me some big money u nuh. I did know bout one game they said was on it and I saw on the site some free game that is one of the top downloads right now.

Well lets discuss features you use often:

Text to Speech - I love this feature even though the voice is computer-y when I am doing my hair I turn on that feature and listen to the book. You can make it male or female and increase or decrease the speed.

Google - nuff said

How the music part work? And the volume button on the side of it I think I adust it when I am listening to the books.

I knew that you could search Google, but mi neva know it was full on web use like facebook an ting...only thing is the pics are in black n white..I don't use text to speech but i guess i will search for the volume button..

for the music part, have some mp3s on my laptop...open windows media player, connect the kindle to the laptop and sync the album i wanted and then disconnect the Kindle.

To locate the songs on the Kindle: click menu button, go to experimental and then click the play music link and it start

I thought the music would be stored in some kind of folder or listed out so i can see what an what mi have on there and go to a particular song, but it seem like it can only start at the beginning...or maybe mi jus nuh figure out that part yet.

Anyways, u can use the buttons pause or skip a track..

ordered the kindle but it wont be shipped for a few weeks as they are out of stock .. got tired of reading books on the iphone.
