Surprised they don't hold it in more cities in the US ... next one in San Francisco. My sister did the New York leg.

Day before yesterday I ran 5 miles and it was on asphalt/concrete and all now I'm feeling the aches. Today I rode my bicycle, 12 miles in 40mins...just nice rolling hills.

SandiF, I work at PricewaterhouseCoopers and I'm so small you woudn't have seen me [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] There were a number of companies wearing red t-shirts also. It was a good evening and because of the numbers, it's actually held over two evenings: Wednesday and Thursday.

Hills training last night was hard work. Only managed 4 whereas last week I did 5. Today my legs are letting me know about it [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img] The only consolation is that Coach reckons I'm getting better [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/dance01.gif[/img] even if I don't feel it [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whatever.gif[/img]

This weekend I'm partying with a girlfriend so I'll get back to it on Monday

I've signed up to take part in a group cycle into Central London in September. I'll have to force myself to ride the distance beforehand. It's only 5 miles and I've done it once before, with frequent walking breaks. Took me an hour.

Went to NYC (with di current mr. ilp). He is doing some work for Equinox Fitness Centers and planning some upcoming events they have for the Fall and Winter 2007. As a result, I spent A LOT of time in Central Park and Battery Park? (the park where you catch the ferry to Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island). Anyway,what hidden gems.

Tuesday morning was a 10K (6.2 miles) in Central Park. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bannana_purple.gif[/img] Not too bad, Tavern on the Green helped out with that [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70409-waytogo.gif[/img]

Wednesday...kissteet...the rain [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70400-talktohand.gif[/img] made Central Park a bit trecherous on the bike. By the afternoon, it had cleared up some...and again Tavern on the Green made my hard work worth it. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70371-jump.gif[/img] Di current mr. ilp and the Equinox people figured out that Battery Park would be better suited for a fun walk or fun run, but nothing more than that. While running the park (approx. 5K or 3.2miles), I saw a guy (obviously homeless) that had a sign that said, <span style="color: #3366FF">Tell me off for 25cents </span> [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] No one told him off (that I saw). I gave him a dollar.

Went back up town to rest my legs and relax before seeing Beauty and the Beast. 42nd Street decided to blow up [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek2.gif[/img] ...literally. Di current mr. ilp and i ended up having to do even more walking that evening. The hotel offered to send a rickshaw to bring di current mr ilp back (who was stuck in all of the madness following the explosion) to the hotel [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

I am now home now, [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/feelsick.gif[/img] ,but home none-the-less.

Anyhow, di current mr ilp is di original ADHD test case [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] so im run, bike, swim, golf, rock climb, ahn some (white water rafting, and bungy (sp) jumping) daht mi did haffi trace him fah, so im stop those. as a matta of fact, mi neva really did cycle or swim (outside of recreational) before I met him.

anyway, this morning I got up and remembered that I had signed up for a Red Cross CPR/AED adult training. The class tek the whole morning and most of my afternoon. It was worth the while but I hated having to put off a few things. Got home was so tired and hungry I fell asleep for an hour and half...just woke. Still some day light and I'm taking the dog to the farm, where I'll ride my bicycle and get some run in.

Well I still haven't managed a Sunday run and I realised last Thursday that I have two 10 mile races in October and the furthest I've run so far is 6 miles and that was about two, nearly three weeks ago [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img]

Hills training and gym weights going strong. Have now missed two speed sessions at the track with the club due to illness and an evening appointment [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img]

Cycled a little on Sunday and nearly fell off. I need to find a cycling partner as this is getting ridiculous. I find it difficult to motivate myself to get on it more than once every few weeks or so. Fear wins most of the time.

The course will be shorter than previous but challenging hills again... [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif[/img]
Yesterday I swam, bike and run. Didn't had a good swim...damn pool was crowdy with people playing volley ball. Bloody people took up bout three quarter of the swim lanes. Not much space for me to do laps. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif[/img] I had a good bike ride...did 10 miles on the alpine course. Mi poor batty did get cawn. Ran 2 miles only. My legs were feeling shot.

Today I went running and did 4 miles. The evening dragged out and I did not get to stretch...I've been feeling so tight and I haven't done yoga in *many* moons. After these tri's I'm ready to go back to my regular workout schedule.
