Hi runners well I've decided to go ahead and do the 5K this Saturday 8/25 even tho my foot is not 100% but i miss running.

Ms. Exced, may i suggest that you tape your foot? not the most comfortable, but it will sort of protect the toe while you are out there on Saturday.

As for the "vacation", i was dung on di rock. during dean no less [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img] did hills mostly, while i was gone. havent run in a week. plan to go out again this saturday.

Hi ladies well I survived the 5K, my time was 21:16 2 mins slower than my regular but was more focus on finishing. Lordy lordy my chest felt as if it was on fire [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img] my foot hurt but not has bad as I thought it would.

I did tape it ilp before I ran, the hills was where I had problems. Anyways it felt good to be running again.

Mr. Ochi and I did a 10K this weekend. We are having a late summer burst of hot weather so it was a warm one....but it was a morning run so wasnt TOOOO bad.

mi still hitting di pavements. Actually went out with di current mr ilp yesterday. Did the golf course.
I have back to back events coming up in October. They are my last official Hew-Ha-Ha's for 2007, well except Race for the Cure.

I am fortunate that the weather is still good, so I can ride outdoors still. Ochi, anymore events coming up for you?

Just training, training and more training for the Seattle Half Marathon in November. I look at yesterdays 10K and doing HALF of a Half Marathon...(almost!). So I am doing pretty good for training. Better than I have in the past. If I add a mile each week for my long runs I still have plenty of time to work on speed along with distance.


My knee problems still haunt me a little. Hurt at about mile 4 yesterday and hurt for about half a mile...then as I neared the finish...miraculously it went away.

So ILP...whats de deal with the name? Whatchoo mean by HOME AGAIN?

Hello MrsOchigal, good running I did a run August 25th(5K) my next race is a 10K on Nov. 15th.

The podiatrist say if I wasn't such a busy body my foot would have healed already. It still hurts but not as bad as before.

Good to hear Ms. Ex...

I had an appt with my Ortho doc yesterday to talk about some hip pain I have been having...it doesnt hurt when I run so I didnt plan on talking about running...but I got the typical lecture from him about "your to fat to be a runner...". Ok..he didnt say those exact words...but thats what I heard....JERK.

I might not have the typical runners body of tall lean and muscular...but I run half marathons dammit...I AM A RUNNER!!! He tells me to loose weight and then says to stop running....HELLLOOOOOO I did stop running and thats when I gained the friggen weight.

I think its time to switch doctors!!!!!!!

Anyway...Exced good luck on healing! KEEP ON TRUCKIN!

I am Home_Again because I was gone most of the summer, MrsO. The summer didnt end as I would have planned, but the one constant that I had was my bike and my running shoes [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70409-waytogo.gif[/img]

Went out this morning for an early morning run (3 miles). The air was cool and crisp...aahhh, perfect! This evening, di current mr ilp and i will take the bikes out.

Going to spend these last few weeks doing some serious riding, as the century ride is 10/6. I still have a few weeks to go before the running festival.

I've been running still as well as perservering with the bike, but that's another story [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/helpsmilie.gif[/img]

Did my annual womens 5k yesterday morning in Hyde Park. It was a lovely cool morning and I did it in 28 minutes which I was pleased with, as it was a packed course and I'd planned to jog round, but as per usual, in a race you do find yourself going faster [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

Mrs O, I had my cheese chips and a pint and a half of Guinness to celebrate afterwards, once I'd found my friends. I thought of you and should have taken a picture to post on here. They were delish! I also managed get a 12 pack of Lucozade Active drinks to take home as they were giving them away - no charge [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/dance01.gif[/img]

Maybe you should change doctors or find another one more up to speed on runners with meat. I met a woman who does cross country at the run and she's definitely not your lean mean running machine either.

I'm off to the gym this lunchtime and I'm going on my first ever bike ride on Sunday morning. Still can't do hand signals to save my life [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-bawlout.gif[/img], but hopefully there'll be more than enough riders to get me out of that. A friend of mine told me about indicatorlights for bikes so I'll investigate that as an option instead.

I've also got 10 mile runs on 7 and 28 October, plus I'm planning on doing a cross-country run in November. If I survive that, then I might do some more during the winter [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70402-thinking.gif[/img]

Home Again - please to have the current Mr ILP cloned and sent to me. I could surely do with one of him to keep me running/cycling now that winter is on it's way. I've got the quilts ready and am thinking of stocking up on chocolate and beer rather than sports/protein drinks [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cold.gif[/img]
