I know in Dubai for example, there are Russian women involved in "entertaining gentlemen" and everyone looks the other way. Certainly exploitation knows no race but the travel in droves to a different country to rooks off poor people of a different race is a decidely Caucasian phenomenon as far as I can tell. </div></div>

sex tourism is like anything else...supply & demand; i wish i could sit here & type that blacks & asians are holier than thou in this world & this time but it's not the case...there are cases in history of mass rapes by asians & blacks in wars so who's to say they wouldn't have done the same thing given the opportunity in time & space... so whites don't own the monopoly of sexual deviance or exploitation or whatever...

Should I say it? Yeah why not. Why get upset? The question is why get offended when we are only discussion what is plain as the nose on your face? This type of behaviour is out there for all to see whether we are talking Bangkok or Negril. Like it or not, most of the people participating in this type of thing are White. It's a fact. Based on some of the stories shared right yeah soh, some aren't ashamed to discuss some of their carryings on. What's wrong with talking about it? The people doing it apparently aren't ashamed to do it. Why should we be ashamed to talk about it?

Well I do, Tropsi. Sometimes standing up for the truth is very difficult indeed, but one musn't cave in to cyber bullying.

Why couldn't the ones with ruffled feathers say what they had to say openly in the thread itself, i.e. debate the issue for example by presenting some facts to the contrary of your upening statement? Alternatively they could have contested the thread itself right here in the feedback forum.

Basically, when anyone on this board - through lack of knowledge - is incapable of defending their views, one can always resort to backroom harassment to shut people up. How brave.

Tropi....the tone may have been set from the start by the use of the term mzungu. some people take offense at it, some don't. i just think it's risky to use if your intent is to draw white tourist into a discussion.

another issue is that, crazy as it sounds, a lot of jamaicaholics don't really think of ourselves as tourists...we're jamaicaholics. some of us are almost as touchy as jamaicans that way.
