As far as the men go I would imagine that Asia offers young, submissive women who are willing to go that extra mile to please a man. Many men in the west feel threatened by women's lib and dream about women who will submit to them. The thinking is (rightly or wrongly) that women in some Asian cultures will loyally serve their men. This is a real turn on to many a western male.
