WHAT AM I DOING WRONG

So everyone is asking me, why am I not frantic like everyone else. Why am I so calm I don't know why they think I am calm. Everything is on point. He is helping me out in a major way.

We have stuck to our budget the girls have their dresses. I have delegated duties to his family members and mine.

I don't know people think I should be pulling my hair out. ummmm what am I doing wrong or what am I not doing that I am suppsoed to be doing?

Girl you aint doin anything wrong..sounds like you have everything delegated and all is going according to plan..some people lose their mind when preparing for thier wedding so they want you to act to keep with tradition.

Yes my dear that was me but his mother is in the US visiting now.

but hear this. They are practicing S.D.A. I am not and I am woman weh love my pork and shrimp.

So the day the lady was to come to my house yuh want fi see mi a ask mi madda fi put up mi pork inna har fridge fi mi.

and it wuz a nice piece a pork shoulder too.

I had to cook my shrimp and eat it all the night before.

Then the ooman had the nerve fi look pan mi an seh "den how come mi nuh see u wid no pork in the house an u love pork soh"

apparently she had no problem with me cookign and eating it she just wouldn't eat it. Well that would suit me well and good if mommy didn't already roast mi pork shoulder

mi axe him wah him mean dyam brite

But anyhow at 5:00 dem call seh dem haffi mek a decision now cause dem a lack di store. Mi cyaan beleive seh 4 man go inna wan store fram 10 a clack inna di mawnin an nuh come out soh till 5.

Well according to wah mi hear fram mi sis in law it look as if dem neva really dress up in a tuxedo before, soh dem try awn every ting an in deh a preten seh a fi dem wedd'n.

mi hear seh di best man him seh him a go proposition him girlfriend sayka how him look good inna tuxedo.

So the entire time was taken up planning how dem a go trash out fi di wedd'n.

Of course that wasn't T's version of events.

His version went like this

Me: Hello *inna sexy vice*

Him: I am leaving the store and I've found my tux:

Me: Hon you juss leaving the store

HIm Yes

Me: why did it take you so long

Him: Hon, I am marrying the love of my life and I want everythign to be perfect I am just making sure that I choose the right tux and shoes.

Me: BOAL gweh cause yuh sistah done prips mi pan wah a gwaan arreddy bunch a poppy show unu act like seh we have shopping issues and unu in deh a try awn di peeple dem suit fram dis mawnin [img]/forums/images/graemlins/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

I almost forgot the most important part to this story. I read where Sis G said it started with prayer and almost forgot to put this in the diary. I am ashamed because I made a promise to God that I would share it with the world and I forgot. It's a good thing God isn't like humans [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

anyway........................

One Sunday I was in church and Sis. Hope was preaching. The message was about relationships but one thing she said stood out in my mind she said "be careful of those you bring into your home and into your bed".

Lawd have mercy. Being single, that defintiely struck me. o/ wah di hell mi a go do.

I started analyzing the situation with all the potential suitors I knew and if one didn't have one or more baby mothers or issues or credit problems or no job or too old (who memba dis yah wan).

Basically, none of the men made any sense.

So the next Sunday I went to church and she (Sis. Hope) was preaching again on the importance of being specific in your prayers. She said don't pray and ask God for something without first thinking it through. Ask him for specifically what you want.

Today *I think* is two years since I was recommitted so I was very much versed on the importance and power of prayer.

I went home after the sermon and thought long and hard about it in my room then I prayed.

I asked that he be kind gentle loving and have a real strong sense of family values. He must have NO children but want many [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] *mi have rooksin feva* [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] , not rich but financially independent, I'd rather build our empire together.

I wanted a man who was not afraid to show his feelings. Since mi hail from St. Bess I wanted him to be dark *mi wuz thinking bout how di pickney dem gwine be pretty*

I didn't want a stranger, I wanted a friend. I couldn't think of anyone I knew who fit that bill *cause mi neva memba bout him*

however, after praying, I promised God that if he gave me this I would tell all my friends about my experience and I would do the best I can as a mate.

The Wednesday I got an e-mail from a guy. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] and u know the rest of the story.
