Re: 5 year old in handcuffs a warning to de black community
With respect I understand your point however hasten to point out how very sad it must be for you to have such distorted experiences that lead to your conclusion.
There are grey moments, though hard to conceptualise. Things are not always black and white.
If we continue to associate colour to everything (even when blatantly unwarranted) we are not only doing ourselves a disservice, but also our children.
It is important that we chose carefully when we use the words that are set aside to help to bring justice to bear. We errode the very fibre of the blanket woven by our foreparents, which were meant to shield and protect us and furthermore, make all the hard work seem like nothing but a comedic satire, if we are not careful when we "cry wolf". Our children live the way we taught them to live and do what we direct them to do. As parents, our responsibility is to guide them and not make excuses for them.

Maybe, I am looking at it thru black and white glasses. In yesterday, today and hopefully not tomorrow, those are the only glasses that I have been afforded the experience to see through.
