How in the world are they going to prosecute her, when they don't do their jobs putting these people that do terrible crimes behind bars.

I can't even imagine what the child must be going through. That's why I don't want any children in this wicked world we live in my heart can only take but so much. Either they are getting shot for no reason, getting killed at school, getting molested by teachers. It just sickens me.

Does anyone have any ideas on how this situation should have been better handled?

Handcuffing a child is deplorable, but let us not get jaded by that symptom. Take a look at the disease and let us discuss why this 5 year old child was behaving in such a disruptive, angry manner, ignoring supervision or adult intervention.

My dad said many years ago, if I don't wax your hind, the authorities will, and they will not be loving and caring when they tear your *** up.

Again, handcuffing that child is wrong. What is causing our children to behave in that manner? Why would a 5 yr old girl be so unruly?

At my school this year a white teacher who was covering a class for another teacher got frustrated with the kids (they always try to pull one over on people who are not their "real teacher", be it a sub or a covering teacher, and mind you, these are 6th graders). Anyway the teacher in question called the hispanic children "wetbacks", and the black children "black pickkinnies (sp?)"

It came to light because the children went home and asked their parents what pickkinnies were, as they had never heard the term. IT is archaic to them.

With the furor raised by my black faculty members only did our white prinicipal investigate and recommend the teacher for discipline by the system (she got two day suspension), as swiftly as she had referred black teachers to central office on much less.

So I go to work yesterday, only to learn that two other white co-workers (both my 6th grade teachers), had be corresponding with each other by school email. They were complaining about the children and called them "out of control black niggers". A child read over the teacher's shoulder and went home and reported it to mother who came to the school to complain. Action pending. We will see what happens on that one.

No surprise since my principal incoming, asked the outgoing choir director to hold his resignation until the Black choir director who was next up to be hired was hired so she could get the next person down the line who was white, because "I don't want a black choir director."

Kodd-fish I am sure with in that buliding there is a small room somewhere where they could have put the child fe timeout session.
De child look like she need some good lix but a nuh dem fe dweet still.

If you see the video, the child look like they are on some kinda drug that won't let her stay still. I know doctors all the while prescribe drugs to the youth to control dem, but nuff time dem back fire. There is a point where the child sit down and her legs keep moving, supm a gwaan deh suh.

De doctah dem use fe medicate mi sistah tuh. put har pan ritalin, tegrathal, ativan and they use some bogus theory that this os good for them.

Parents believe in doctors like dem believe in god all the world over.

Anyhow my sis was very mobile, not a physical defect on her any where. When mi madda pay surprise visit to the school she saw her dawtah in a wheelchair wid har hands an feet tied down to it and she was wet.

If a did mi guh de an find dat situation me'd probably gawn a jail dat same day deh.

The youth in the video no mattah what does not deserve dis neither the community.

We need to keep our eyes on dem ppl ya cah dem a come fe de whool a wi.

Dyesha is a mess sho nuff.....but I don't know.

If you listen to the police officer it seems they had had trouble with her before because the officer says "Remember me, I am the one who told your mother that I would put handcuffs on you if you do this again."

I'll bet my paycheck that mother, who is at her wits end with the little monster she created, said, "See there Dyesha if you do this again the Po PO gonna put cuffs on you."

I have parents all the time say they "Can't get off work (or won't), or "don't call me, call juvenile court" etc. But I don't know if that was the case in this case, but I see it every day at work.

I've seen a lot, including a white co-worker who put the students in a strorage room day after day, and refused to let them raise the window, When I blew the whistle, I was "lying", and the teacher was allowed to quietly retire. In the meantime, people all over the system look upon me as a "trouble maker."

By the way, one of those students later committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in his own back yard.

This is what crossed my mind as well; I wonder if it was a set up because they had cameras rolling. I wouldn't "put it past them".

Akins, the girl's mother, said she had complained to the school about the assistant principal's treatment of her daughter. She said the administrator has been too harsh with the girl. The police had been called to the school at least once before in response to the girl's behavior. The girl has since transferred to another public school.

This is so absurd, the child had similar problems before. Where are/were the guidance counsellors to help the parents deal with this child's psychological's problem[s]? Even an unruly 2 year old wouldn't have behaved like that..clearly she has problems..which leads me to say: this is the best that the shystem can afford. Rely on the police to deal with people with psychological problems rather than referring them to mental health professionals.

From the link, this is not the first episode of such behaviour and encounter with the police. In agreement with Dahjah, this is laced with racism..if she was of another hue, if the parents were more assertive with the school, we wouldn't be having this discussion..and YES, I will wager the farm on this one!..but black people don't have to be afforded any of the amenities of the system because of who they are. Had she been someone else...take your pick....she would have been referred for treatment.

..and in closing, note well that some of these behaviours are the result of birth injuries, children who developed normally but got injured due to malpractice at birth,..but it was never revealed to the parents.

I dare not even go into the further psychological problems that this child can experience because of such almshouse behaviour... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] As for prosecuting her, this is a scream; I DARE THEM!!...this would further illustrate to the world the pitiful sad state that American jurisprudence is in...always was....always is...and always be the same! The lady in the mask in the this shystem is NOT blind, she see things in black and white!!

If you watch the video, you will see that this child is on some type of medication. She barely sit still in the chair The educational system answer to so- called"rude black children" is to medicate them, arrest them or kill them. That is their answer.

Parents need to make surprise visits to their children's schools. Sit on the various committees and boards at school. Get involved! Then these teachers will think twice about messing up your children.
