Of course, all of that mango was for me And there was more fruits to come that day

I had white pomegranate never saw that before...anyone else?

JaJewel is a good cook. And it was far easier to just have her prepare meals instead of me doing it myself at the time.

When I got the first car from the car rental place, they gave me a temp car as the waited for the last ppl to return the mid size car I had ordered. They were to come on Saturday to drop off the new rental car for me. Of course Saturday comes and goes, so I call them on Sunday I get a thousand promises of them being there by end of day....End come and no new car.

I was leaving out to Ochi the following morning because I needed t get my PIN reset so I had money to move around with. Unlike banks here, RBTT closes by 2pm mid-week and time was running out.

I called the company and said u need to meet me in Ochi b/c I cant wait any longer for you. They first ha assured me that they would be there in Duncan's Bay before 11am....then said they would be in Ochi by time I reach at 1pm.....

Here is the original car they gave me:

Finished my banking but no car ppl. Back and forth on the phone with “soon come’ well soon come lasted 4 hours.

5pm was close approacinh and I wanted to be in Portie before darkness came. I made my way to the police station because I was no concerned that I was being scammed and that no car would be coming anytime soon. The steering wheel shook violently when u went above 60km so I really didn’t want to take it to portie.

Agent arrived just in time before I was ready to report them to the police. I was on the phone with a good boardite friend the whole time. He called the Jamaica Tourist Board and explained my situation to them, and lo and behold, I get an immediate call and apology from the company

It is now pushing 6pm when the guy arrives. I transfer my luggage only to see that that gas gauge was close to empty. *I* blew a gasket.

There was no way I was giving them a full tank of gas on the previous car and now had to stop for gas when darkeness was fast approaching. I told the guy I wanted to cancel the car and I would get the polict top help me get to portie that evening. He then offered to fill the tank for me.

He goes into panic mode and says dont call him boss.

So we get it filled but he neglects to give me the car rental documents.

This turned out to be a HUGE issue because I got stopped by the police that night and was threatened with jail time since I couldnt prove that I didnt steal the car.... I was so fed up at this point that I told the police to go right ahead....He could call the car rental place and ask them why they sent me an idiot to drop off my car, and I would call my lawyer and somewhere in the middle things would work out, right?

I then said do I look or sound like a bloody car thief I mean really?

I dont which part sweet him but the guy was fighting back a smile by this point....he couldnt look at me directly after that an just gave me the standard warning that only cause him is understanding is he letting me go, but the next man might not be....

I just said, "uh-huh" and asked for my passport back....

Nylah, it was so nice having a trip around Ja Jewel's place again. Ted and I stayed there earlier this year for his birthday and had such a good time. I agree with you, her cooking is superb. We loved the veranda with the 2 places to lay down and take a nap.

I have more shots of JAJewel's but I will post those later in the report. I did return to the guesthouse 2 more times before my vacation was over

When I was at Digicel on the first day, I must have taken it out ofc my purse and placed it on the counter. To be honest, I dont truly recall doing so but that is what must have happened. I had my phone just before I got to Blue Diamond Mall to tell Cher I was on my way. But I didnt have it after I left.

The first night, I didnt think anything of the fact that I couldnt find my phone...I assumed it was somewhere amongst my things and I would find it after a night's sleep. Not until I tried calling my phone did I realize that I didnt have it with me

The wave of panic that took over me wasnt even funny

Obviously someone had the phone b/c the called my JA cell number that I just called them on. They wouldnt speak but I asked them to please return my phone an I would give them 100USD for it. No response

I then sent a text msg saying the same thing.

No response.

So I called my phone company and had my account frozen until I could come home and deal with it.

After I calmed down to think straight, I remembered that I had backed up my phone the night I left with all the info on it. Plus, I had bought "stupid insurance" when I got the phone. Now it was paying off

The 7/month insurance fee covered lost and wet phones (done this many times hence why I bought the insurance), so I relaxed a bit. I just hated knowing that some of the financial info in the phone was out there since my phone wasnt locked.

Well, this is what you get when you travel tired. I know better so next time I will do better.

I had my Digicel phone to communicate with and there was nothing I could do about my lost Blackberry, so I just put it out of my mind and continued on.

Oh yes! It is nice and peaceful to sleep there isnt it? You feel like you are in your own little world when there. That is what appeals to me the most
